It took Coach Saban 3 seasons to win a National Championship at Alabama, and we all know how far Alabama football had falling before he took the job. Him not winning this award is garbage.

I respect Peterson as a coach, but come on! When you only play a game or two a year, you should be able to go undefeated or have only one loss. Leave the pee-wee conference and come play some REAL football!!! Prove it where the big boys play football!!!

I have to say I'm a little surprised. Saban goes 14-0 playing an SEC schedule, wins the national championship, coaches a Heisman winner, a Butkus winner all in the same season and how many teams were ranked when Alabama beat them? And how many top 10 teams did Alabama beat? What a rip-off!!! :mad2:

Peterson won it in 2006 and not to take anything from what he's done at Boisie State, but they did not exactly play a grueling schedule. This is crap!!!

Apparently, some must think we have an "embarrassment of riches".

Now that I've caught my breath, we all realize that it's a completely subjective award. CNS, and everyone on this board, (except you VolFan1) will give Peterson the next three Bryant Awards, if we get Crystal Footballs.

I wouldn't care at all if wasn't The Bryant Award. I know who the best coach in the country is...

There's not a doubt in my mind that the wrong guy got the award, but what difference does it make?

I doubt that CNS is going to lose any sleep over it. Besides, this year has been too perfect for me to get bent out of shape over a coaching trophy.

I know Boise has upgraded their schedule somewhat, but they still dont play anybody compared to who we play week in and week out in the SEC.

I don't see any upgrade from the below list. One decent opponent all season.

I think he's built a nice little football team there. But let's be honest, that schedule (above) is ridiculously easy for a BSC wanna-be contending team.

If your schedule strength isn't even in the top 90 should you even be eligible?

Alabama went undefeated with the 2nd hardest schedule. Boise State did it with the 96th hardest schedule...

While I think one can applaud what Boise State did, Alabama just finished one of the best (if not the best) seasons in college football history. Boise State's accomplishments (beating one BCS conference team all year and that was at home) are not far from what Central Michigan did this year. The best record of any other team with a top ten SOS was 3 losses... if you think what the two teams did really compares you're a idiot.

This was a protest vote, much like Utah got protests votes or USC got protests votes back when LSU (in both cases the #1 votes for the winner of the BCS game actually went down despite them winning the game) won the BCS.
