I wonder why he stays there. Is he trying to be some small school hero? Does he have some major baggage that no one knows about and Boise will accept it? Why stay at a school that can go undefeated and still finish outside the top three? Is he comfortable in Boise, Idaho? He will not be a national champion in the near future if he stays there. If he wants to win one, he better move. I just don't get why he doesn't.

And back to the award... How can the national champion coach not win? Makes no sense.

The potato farmers are really letting this go to their heads, they're making ridiculous claims on their message board. Things like Peterson is the greatest coach ever, he's the best coach in the country, he should have won it all 4 years he's been a HC and best of all, the award should be named for him after he retires.

Peterson seems like a great guy and he's evidently a very good football coach, but come on. let him prove himself against a viable schedule before heaping all the praise and awards on him. Most of the teams on his schedule would be homecoming foes for us.

As far as I'm concerned, this was just an intentional slap in the face for Alabama and Coach Saban.

I just could NOT believe it when I saw the local news in Houston last night.

That award was unjustly given to the wrong Coach.

Look where Saban brought this program from in three years: from the depths of the abyss.

Bama needs to go ahead and pay Coach Saban just as if he really won the award. Because he deserved it! How much was he to receive for winning the award? Coach Moore, write that check! Coach Saban can donate it to charity or whatever he wants to do, but he deserved that award more than anyone else, so pay up Coach Moore.

Remember, the AP award went to Kelly. Remember the look on Saban's face? He was not pleased, and I guarantee you that this didn't go unnoticed by him, either...

Coach Saban should have been the only coach in attendance.

When you compare what he accomplished against a schedule that was 300-400% more difficult than Boise's it makes the voters look totally uninformed as to what the game of football is all about.

Totally unbelievable and even more so ridiculous!
