yes, check rolltide.com and go to the football schedule.I searched the forum and found nothing on this. Is it PPV? :conf3:
Is there any way to check out these blackout areas?ALABAMA CRIMSON TIDE - University of Alabama Official Athletic Site - Football
It is PPV. It will be on ESPN3 outside of blackout areas.
Typically anywhere you can order it on PPV, it is blacked out on ESPN GamePlan and ESPN3. I don't see any blackout maps available yet, but one could assume the PPV is available in the state of Alabama and thus it will be blacked out there. Is there any way to check out these blackout areas?
I see you have an Alabama address, you will have to view on ppv. It's not available on TV. Otherwise It looks like you'll be listening to Eli Gold!Well, I have DishTV, and when I search their website for Alabama Football I get no listing for the game. Maybe ESPN has not put it on the schedule yet....:conf2:
Well, if I can't buy the TV feed, then I WILL be listening to Eli. And that's not so bad..........:BigA:I see you have an Alabama address, you will have to view on ppv. It's not available on TV. Otherwise It looks like you'll be listening to Eli Gold!
Right on! I guess that's one for cable, I have Direct tv,and like you I would have to purchase ESPN360 to get it along with a jillion others. It's probably the only one not televised. At least I can watch it on my computer. BTW, does your IP carry ESPN3? that's a possibility.Well, if I can't buy the TV feed, then I WILL be listening to Eli. And that's not so bad..........:BigA:
Yes it is. That's how I watch all the 'Bama games that aren't on national television. Works great for me!So if you have ESPN3 it is free?

Thanks. Just my luck. I am changing from Dish Network to Comcast Cable on 9/8. Almost positive Comcast has ESPN3 but Dish does not.Yes it is. That's how I watch all the 'Bama games that aren't on national television. Works great for me!
Yeah, I guess they recently changed the name from espn360 to espn3. It's the same thing.Opps. Thats the new name for ESPN360 isnt it?
espn3 is just a website where you watch games. Your ISP will determine if you can get it, not your cable provider.Thanks. Just my luck. I am changing from Dish Network to Comcast Cable on 9/8. Almost positive Comcast has ESPN3 but Dish does not.
Soooo.... looks like i will have to buy it from probably ESPN Gameplan (am in atlanta).
Thanks again.
PS- is ESPN3 shown on your computer monitor?
Yah, but even with fast connection speeds the picture isn't great.PS- is ESPN3 shown on your computer monitor?
The picture always looks pretty good to me, and I have a converter box I use to hook up the laptop to the tv so the whole family can watch.Yah, but even with fast connection speeds the picture isn't great.
If possible, I buy them per game on PPV for the better picture quality.
Keep in mind along with the name change from ESPN360 to ESPN3, the service changed technologies and now offers a higher picture quality. I watched a few World Cup games on ESPN3 and it came through really crisp. If your bandwidth drops though so does the picture quality. We'll see how it does when a whole lot more people are hitting the site during College Football season.Yah, but even with fast connection speeds the picture isn't great.
