When I checked earlier today before I left for work it looked like channel 787 was listed for DirecTV in Alabama. I have to work tomorrow, but I should be able to watch on ESPN3 via our setup...

Unfortunately I am on Time Warner Cable and we don't get ESPN360. I had to order ESPN Gameplan for the whole season because they have eliminated teh weekly plan.

Its worth it though. Roll Tide!

I have ESPN Game Plan, and I live in Dallas.

If you order PPV (I checked this am) it's $34.95 on channel 787 on Direct TV.

If you order Game Plan, it's $139 (for the year) and on channel 789 on DTV.

Also - order today the whole Game Plan and you get it for $115.

I did.

Well this stinks!

I have verizon wireless internet. We have to use the wireless internet card because home internet is not available here.

ESPN3 does not support wireless cards!

Guess I will be listening to Eli!:biggrin2:

BWW told me they will show it, but they have to wait until Kentucky/Louisville get done. Teir kickoff is 3:30 EST. Do I get it thru DirectTV and stay home or go to the place and deal with crowd/no sound/ pay for food and Ice tea and the gas to get there/ Mama thinking about it.

I told her what Earle posted only PPV game this year, and that helped.

Really dumb question but for ya'll with Comcast, how did you order the PPV? The only PPV options I see are 3 WWE -like events?
I chatted with Comcast's awesome support rep who told me to get the sports package for $5 a month as that has ESPN Gameplan but that clearly isn't true.:mad2: When I found GamePlan on their website it clearly states that's $135. Don't really want that for just this 1 game.

Hmm... Do you get the HD option in T-Town?
Just bought the ESPN gameplan for tomorrow. Supposedly it is HD here in ATL, but I'll believe it when I see it. They guy actually told me the wrong channels on the phone. So, not very confidence inspiring. It was $25. Supposed it is worth it so I can see most of the other SEC games...

See my post above. Get GamePlan for 1 day. $25.

BTW it took me calling 3 times before I could get something ordered. I had just been asking for only the BAMA game which they said they couldn't do. They never offered GamePlan for one day. I had to call and ask specifically for that. We'll see what I get tomorrow.

I live in Brewton which is about 8 miles above the Florida line above Pensacola. We have Mediacom and in this area, it's based out of Milton FL. and fed to several towns in both FL. and Al. I just checked tomorrows ESPN 3 schedule and, just like last year, it says I'm not subject to the blackout. (because my internet feed originates in Florida) Last year the only PPV game I wasn't able to see was the FIU game. I should probably fell guilty but I don't.:cool2:

I got in a big argument today with my Time Warner customer service rep. I wanted to buy Gameplan by the week. ESPN's website says it is available per week. He said that ESPN has never offered it by the week and that only the season package was for sale. I know that's not true cause I have bought the weekly package when I had Comcast. I questioned him whether that was just a Time Warner issue and even gave him the ESPN link where they quoted a weekly price. He still insisted it was only a season package. I love the Tide so I had to buy it, but I was still torqued off. May switch to DirectTV before next week.

Thanks
I called but the number for ordering Gameplan closed at 10PM. I'll call tomorrow morning. The online chat rep. said to just cal lthe number so no luck getting it ordered after hours. We'll cross our fingers.

Comcast customer service in the Atlanta area is the worst in customer service history.

When I was living up there, I think it was in 2007, Bama played Houston and it WAS available on ESPN Gameplan. But some nincompoop there at Comcast added it to their blackout list during the week and it wasn't shown on Comcast ESPN Gameplan in the Atlanta area.

Just typing this memory makes my blood boil again.

I even got on the phone with some lady and actually emailed her the link to the blackout map. It was only blacked out in Alabama and Texas. I was beside myself. She was like, "I'm sorry, sir, but we've been told it is blacked out." :mad2:

Wonder if anyone will set up a channel for the game on Justin.tv?

I'm in Birmingham, don't have cable and won't be hitting up a bar with my 18 month old...too bad. Rojo has the game on with no cover.

I'm ready to go on ESPN3 Live Internet Feeds for the free Bama/SJSU game on Saturday...just tested the quality of the connecton (which is a MacBook Pro connected using a Male DVI to HDMI converter, which connects to a brand new 46" 240hz Sony Bravia TV (a $999 Costco Special), which connects to Verizon All-Fiber FIOS 35 meg Internet connection). Let me tell you, I'm getting a consistant 4/5 Video quality rating out of 5, and I'm upgrading the Memeory 50% on the Apple for $40 on amazon.com (guaranteed delivery by Sept 1st). The picture looks fantastic, it's as clear as SD TV......it's amazing......AND FREE viewing on ESPN3 LIVE!
