Ole Miss Mascot to be the Black Bear

Hotty Toddy.

Whats that? :conf3:

On the thread before debating the mascot choices it was brought up that I think it was a former player that went to Iraq and got killed. Some association with him. I can't remember right off.

Maybe someone else will remember better lol!

Well with Auburn in town at end of season, you have to watch out for your laptop. With Ol Miss in town this week, we'd better keep an eye on our picknicka baskets.

Sorry no Yogi picture to support above statement.

They are getting closer and closer to becoming Auburn.

Auburn Tigers, Planesmen, War Eagles.

Ole Miss Rebels, Black Bears, play Dixie.

What a *fantastic* pic, CV! I love this particular bear's expression, which begs many a UM-related caption...:D

p.s. - Re: Landshark...Former Reb LB Tony Fein died a year or two ago. He also served in Iraq w/ the Army, I believe. When he played, he adopted the phrase "Land Sharks" to refer to their defense. Hence the sign they'll still occasionally make after a good defensive play, and the consideration of "Land Shark" for their mascot.

I know that bear pic is great!

And I think they should have gone with Land Shark.
