OT Cyrus Kouandjio Updates

  • Hi Guest, we are working on updating the site servers and software. We're also 'forcing' everyone to read and agree to our site privacy policy and terms of service. There are no significant changes to either of these but the terms page does clarify a few things that are mostly in the legalese. You can just click the checkbox for both and continue using the site as usual! We'll update you more on the site upgrades VERY soon! THANK YOU AS ALWAYS for supporting the site and being an active participant!

I honestly believe that he will sign w/us. I'm not "in the know" or in his circle of friends but my gut is telling me that he signs w/the good guys. RTR!!

Cyrus Kouandjio is a Class Act, and he would represent Bama very well. Plus, I could see him starting his True freshman season with the potential he's shown so far in his career. Would be real cool to have Brothers playing on the OL together for Bama the next 3 seasons.

Hope Cyrus Rolls with the Tide.........

I really, really hope that the mods have the suspension button ready for NSD, as this could turn into a melt-down if he chooses AU over BAMA.

My opinion is a little more simple -

Bama has a ton of great things to offer. A great coaching staff, excellent academics, the best fan base, the best facilities, a beautiful campus, and NFL opportunities. If someone chooses to go elsewhere, then so be it, but Bama will most likely beat your team regardless.

edited to add: If we don't get CK, we could legitimately be done in this class. With Clowney/Crowell favoring State U, Pagan/Clear/Brassell looking elsewhere, it would only leave Therezie/Calloway as possibilities.

Don't be confused...
The question is has he decided or is it still up in the air? Someone posted earlier that he commented on his FB that any rumor he commited was not true. But all the Barn people seem to think he did or that he is already decided and will commit to them. Either way wherever he goes UA will be fine. I would much rather have him at UA but I am not a fan that gets upset because we do not sign someone or they sign with the Barn over us. I guess the luxury of not growing up a UA in the state of AL.

Yeah, he has not committed yet... Anyone who says that he has committed somewhere is just full of (u know what)... he's done with all his visits, so now the family is going to discuss and weigh all possibilities (the advantages and disadvantages of each program).... we will talk it out and we'll go from there. A Firm decision should be made tomorrow by CYRUS.... GOD willing.

From an UA fan I wish him the best of luck no matter where he ends up and I hope he accomplishes everything he sets out to do whoever he decides for. RTR

I just want to say, magnanga, that regardless of where Cyrus commits his recruitment has caused more excitement while causing more panic attacks than ANY recruit I have followed in the last 5 years. I don't want to say he has "played" the recruiting game, because I think he has taken this process very serious.I will say, however, if he has known where he wants to go he has kept it a secret better than any recruit I have seen. He seems to have a rare combination of confidence and humility that we haven't really seen since.....well, since last year in Arie. I REALLY hope Cyrus rolls with the good guys, but he has earned the respect of the members of this board, simply by being Cyrus.

Barn fans seem to think they will know tommorow if Cyrus will sign with then. Bone on twitter said that DE D Reeves who did an OV this past weekend at Auburn said he was told that Auburn will tell him tommorow if they will offer him a scholarship. The barn thinks that if he gets the offer it is because Cyrus is going elsewhere, so that basically he only gets a spot if Cyrus does not take it.

Again that is the Barns interpretation but they are also saying that Collins from LA is now an Auburn silent so go figure.

Well, I'm going to be honest, if Cyrus and Collins both go to Auburn, then they may have the best class in the nation. They certainly appear to have very good recruiters, maybe the best if what they are saying pans out. They are snake oil salesmen who have the advantage of being immoral liars.

I really want Cyrus to make the best decision for himself here. He definitely appears to be a very solid guy, and someone that everyone would love to have on their team. I have probably never wanted a recruit to sign with Bama as much as Cyrus, and that includes Julio. If we get Cyrus on Wednesday, then rest assured I will be ecstatic on Wednesday. If Auburn gets Cyrus, then I wish him nothing but the best, but the Tide will continue to roll one way or the other.

As good as CK is, he will NOT equal the impact that Julio Jones had on our program, I don't care how good he is. Like I said about Ike Crowell I'll say the same about Cyrus, we want you, but we do not need you. RTR
