Fluker earned his 5 stars as a NT before switching to OT and never had any grade issues, grade problems can play heavy into an evaluation.

TUSCALOOSA, Alabama - Alabama picked up its 20th verbal commitment for its 2012 football signing class, according to Rivals.com.

The Crimson Tide added offensive tackle Brandon Hill, a 6-foot-6, 350 pounder from Collierville (Tenn.) St. George's High.

Hill's verbal commitment was confirmed Thursday night by his high school coach, according to Rivals.com. Verbal commitments are non-binding agreements and not recognized by the NCAA.

Hill is rated a three-star recruit by Rivals.com and Scout.com.

I wasn't referring to our WR commits but those currently on the varsity. We just are not that strong at that position relative to other positions on the team.

He'll more than likely be down closer to 320 or so since he'll be in our S&C program. losing fat and gaining muscle has been a priority for us with linemen of this size i.e. Cody, Fluker, Warmack, Smitty.

Big get here, that's the kind of size we want at OG and RT. Some people have talked about putting him at the nose on defense, but that won't happen at 6'7 (which is why Fluker didn't end up there). We'll slim him down and probably put him somewhere on the right side of the offensive line.

Reportedly Brandon Hill has lost 20 lbs so far this season. I don't know if the 352 lbs in his Rivals.com profile has that amount subtracted already or not. You can see the difference in his face in the pictures in his Rivals and Scout profiles. In other or earlier pictures of Hill he had more weight in his face. I am guessing that he had some kind of weight conditions with his Bama offer, like Mount Cody had.

also, based on some of his quotes, it sounds like there are probably going to be severe grade requirements as well before he is allowed to sign. with the new limit on signees, this makes a lot of sense, instead of just having people sign no matter what there chances were.
