Game Thread: Oklahoma - Oklahoma State

It does help that OU is looking so bad on their own - almost to the point of incompetence. I don't think this game will have the statement that many here are so fearful of.

That's what I'm thinking. OU quit. How can you jump them over us for clobbering a team that quit?

Bright side? Are you really typing that? Best Alabama football team in centuries, and we will win nothing? Personally, it hurts me very deeply.....:(

It hurts b/c we have a good team. However, we lost at home. A championship team doesn't miss 4 FG's. Nor do they let the refs make a call, they hold onto the damn ball. Especially when you out weigh the db by 70 pounds. I love Bama as much as anyone but, if OSU passes us, they deserve to be in nola on Jan 9th.

Because the whole point is we left it up to voters.

Had we beat LSU, we'd be where they are - zero question. We lost, so we're not - our future is in the hands of the voters.

I still think we end up #2, but if we don't, fine. We had our chance and blew it.

Yeah my head agrees, but my heart does not. Its heavy. I really thought we were in for sure. I did not think OSU would blow out OU like this even if they won. I thought Va Tech would win. Its all slipping away.

What's upsetting, is if the roles were reversed (we beat LSU 9-6 in OT), then I think everyone is fine with a rematch and there is no media backlash. Maybe it's just my Alabama bias, but I feel that would be the case. In fact, put in other team in our shoes, and they'd be a shoe in without a doubt. The media would be upset that anyone would question their worthiness.

It's a shame if we get bumped, but we did have a chance. I think we are deserving and are clearly one of the top 2 teams in the country, but we left it to outsiders to determine our fate. I just hope we don't have another Utah game should we be relegated to the sugar.

How come no one is saying that OSU let it slip away by losing to a crappy unranked ISU team?

When all the teams were undefeated, LSU/Bama were considered the top 2. Now that everyone but LSU has one loss, the 2 best teams are still LSU/Bama.

I agree. OK ST lost to an unranked team and it will not be erased. I still think many voters were looking for an excuse to not vote us as #2 and now they will feel they have one.

Those of you suggesting OU is throwing the game to help Okie State get into the BCSNC are crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Think about it. That would be like us letting the Barn blow us out in the IB to help them get into the championship game!!!!

OU may be playing awful, but it is not to help Ok. St.

Some of yall are drunk or crazy or maybe both to think this.

Is it certain that OSU will become 2 in the computers?

I think most assume that will happen because the computers have ranked the B12 SOS so high...which looks like an even bigger joke than I thought. I'm not surprised Texas Tech beat the Sooners after watching this epic disaster.

Like I said they may gain some votes and it might be closer than we'd like but I think we'll still get in...I just don't see how a win over a team this bad could be considered a "great win" in terms of getting to the BCSCG...

this is exactly my fear..... A Utah type meltdown. FWIW: LSU will DRILL OSU

Well Michigan may be eligible for an at large bid, as is Stanford. Both would be good games to watch. Because we open with UM next year in Dallas, I would assume we play Stanford in the Sugar Bowl.

Its the perfect storm--it gives the folks looking to avoid a bama vote a decent reason not to go with a rematch.

I hate to say it--but its not looking good for the home team.
