shakes my head. Hates the Heisman has turned into a popularity contest. This is the backlash against alabama for getting into the national championship game. go bama win number 14!

no such thing as backlash against Bama. unless you want to call getting voted into the national championship game without even winninng your division backlash .. Griffin had an impressive season.

What was the point to invite Mathieu and Ball with those votes? I am not saying they don't deserve to be there by what they did on the field but seriously they didn't have near enough votes to be there. Just proves in my mind this is more about ratings and hype than accomplishments. RG3 is a good QB but he plays in a system. Case Keenum had much better stats in the same system. If you put luck in that system he would have lit it up in my opinion.

They have an hour block to fill. They've been inviting five for some time. Not hard to figure out why they did that.

Well, I think it's a fair point - I'll bet had OSU made the BCSCG the voting would look a little different.

In most every public poll I've seen 2:1 think 'someone else' deserves the BCSCG over Bama.

If the Heisman votes were due the same day as the final BCS poll, the numbers would look different.

I think Trent would take a second national championship over the Heisman and who knows he hasn't ruled out coming back for his senior year!

Anti Bama bias swung this vote to RG3. Another rip off.....

In the south no less. Hard for a player to won ot at Bama for this reason. If the voters in the south cannot appreciate what Trent did against SEC competition, how can Trent expect to win the Heisman?

I still think that if TM7 and Ball were so hot from the last game TR would have still had trouble meaning I do not think it would have matter especially after RGIII took the south. I also am not sure TR would have won it if we played in the SECCG. Would have finished 2nd behind RGIII still.

If TR comes back I think he would win it next year.
