More barn news - NCAA investigating recruitment of Reuben Foster

Just fyi, ncaa doesnt show up unless they believe something illegal happened not just to check and make sure all is ok.

Since Foster flipped from Alabama to Auburn on July 12, there has been a ton of backlash, according to Paige. “Yes, the Alabama people have said all kinds of awful things, saying he is a traitor, and that ‘You can go play with the pigs if you want.’ They told him you won’t be playing for any championships at Auburn the next four years … just a lot of mean stuff.”

I don't agree with the demeaning stuff being said to them. I don't care where he goes to school or how many times he changes hats. It's football.

But I do agree with the bold segment. I hope he has a lot of Auburn Pride because that's about all he's going to be playing for.

Two words $cam.Newton. If the boogs didn't get utterly hammered on that'un then I've all but given up on any sort of justice coming their way. When a father can openly admit he was shopping his son around for money, which to me falls under the definition of an agent, and nothing happens to the kid then I give up.

Absolutely NOTHING will come of this.

That's not "mean stuff". It's the TRUTH!

THIS. Not to mention some of their former coaches and players have admitted it. Terry Bowden laid out the entire system, and still nothing was done. They should have been hammered years ago, but I will be shocked if anything comes from this.

Crap I should have read the whole thread before posting as you posted the same thing....lol (great minds think alike)

They can still look at the newton situation at this time

I suspect that Auburn, with an assist from Mike Slive, played the NCAA, forcing their hand by declaring sCam ineligible right before the SECCG, making the NCAA look like idiots in the process.

And the NCAA, as we know all too well, has a long memory.

His mother said the commitment remains so strong that the entire family intends to get Auburn tattoos, also.

I wonder if that means her 12 yr old "baby girl" will be getting one as well...

Yes and the NCAA has bypassed Auburn and the SEC with this particular investigation. That wasn't what happened with Cam Newton. After what happened with Penn State people should have been warned that the NCAA isn't necessarily going to do things by the book if it wants to make a statement. A wait and see approach has to be taken with this case obviously but you never know what might happen. It seems the NCAA is out to get Auburn but that's JMO.

National signing day is six months away. Foster hasn't signed a NLI and hasn't enrolled in any college.

I find it odd that the NCAA would be probing a recruitment before the recruitment is even over.

And if this is the same group of investigators that were in Memphis last week, it pretty much tells you that they have gotten all the info they're going to in that cesspool.
