This one is over for now... Just because the NCAA did not meet yesterday, does not mean they will not.... Let's move back to Memphis. Memphis is as corrupt as any city in America and Auburn will soon learn that..
Spin, spin, spin

His mom said the NCAA to the Atlanta Newspaper. Someone is lying, whether it's her or them. I can't remember the last time the AHSAA talked with a player about booster involvement.
Truth be told, she probably doesn't know the difference.
Probably not but I don't doubt for a second she was coached up on what to say. Carvell of the AJC did ask her if she met with the NCAA so he had to have had a source about it. Why would a Atlanta journalist be asking about an Alabama high school player meeting with the AHSAA ? Makes no sense to me. NCAA sounds more logical.
Maybe someone from his old high school told Carvell that his transfer was being investigated by AHSAA.Probably not but I don't doubt for a second she was coached up on what to say. And if it only was the AHSAA why would they be asking about college booster involvement as she said they asked? That is not AHSAA's field of jurisdiction anyway that is the NCAA's.
Here's what she originally said:
Paige told the AJC, “They are talking with Reuben and me. They want to make sure there was nothing illegal done to get us down here, or anything like that. They want to make sure there wasn’t a college booster involved.
“No, there was not a booster involved or anybody from the college involved. There was nothing illegal.â€Â
Exactly. That's not what the AHSAA does, at least to my knowledge. That's the kind of stuff the NCAA investigates. Something stinks here...
Well, we are talking Auburn

I was thinking the same. Especially, when you consider the high school and the college. When in the same city, they can easily go hand-in-hand.Not to defend abarn at all, but when investigating high school players being recruited to play the line between high school and college boosters do sometimes cross. The NCAA relied on parts of an AHSAA report in the investigation of Kenny Smith. I hate to say anything that could give them cover, but this isn't out of the question.

Just throwing out a different possibility... The "booster" could be an AHS football booster. I know Prattville has the QB Club, which could be considered a booster.
She could have easily gotten confused, but she did originally say "college booster." That's what was so fishy about it when they tried to change the story to AHSAA instead of NCAA.
Who knows?
I would imagine that many of the boosters at Auburn High School are also boosters/season ticket holders at Auburn University. We all know Trooper and Luper have sons that play football for Auburn High.
Right and many times those high school boosters recruit kids from other high schools, even going so far as getting the parents a job in order for them to move so that the kids will play football at their high school. They are then pretty much beholden to the booster and will go to whatever college they are directed to. It's a dirty, dirty side of this game we all love.
The biggest red flag to me is the story changing as you point out. If you have a senior athlete who's very likely going to play at a college level you're very familiar with the initials NCAA. You don't get NCAA confused with AHSSA, AARP, USDA, HAARP, ALA, etc...
