Here's a coaching search list they have for their next HC..Pretty reasonable list IMO..I actually think Coach Franklin would b a great choice..He's a solid recruiter & his teams play hard..I think he would do great with the players he could recruit at Arkansas..

I also think the W.Kentucky HC would be a great choice..Heck..His team played us harder than any team this year..He's going too get snatched up by some bigger school before long..I think he would be worth the chance if I were Arkansas..What do ya'll think about this list..

Chris Petersen is my favorite choice for the Hogs. He's a really good coach and would be a significant improvement over what they have now. Although I don't see him leaving Boise State anytime soon, he's very successful there.

You got that right. If they had an interest in leaving both could have had their pick years go. As for Franklin, he has proved nothing IMO. He has an attitude and is nothing more than a polished Trooper Taylor making more money. I like Paul Rhoades and Art Briles, but if I were Jeff Long my focus would be on Charlie Strong. Arkansas native, Little Rock I believe, SEC experience at USCe and DC at Florida. Not mentioned but a possible candidate could be Todd Berry, HC at ULM. The WKU coach is going to be good, but at this point going from a Sunbelt Conference to the big stage of the SEC would be a tough task. Given time, the Arkansas job is a major step up for all these coaches. What about Kirby Smart to Arkansas since he has to bide his time for either the Alabama or UGA HCS job? Why would Dantonio leave the ease and security of the Big 10 to jump into a meat grinder?

We all have our own opinion & I can respect yours..I don't agree with ya bout Franklin at all..I think he gets more out of his players than most HC's do..I think he's a solid HC..And would be a good hire for Arky..That's just my opinion..

As far as Kirby goes..I honestly think he's going too stick around & take over here when Coach Saban retires..I hope he does..He knows the in & out of the "Process"..By the time Coach Saban hands the program over too him..It will be a smooth transition..It would be worth the wait for Coach Smart..Again..That's just my opinion..

I both seriously doubt Peterson would leave and seriously doubt Arky would hire another coach from Boise state.

I agree. I just think he would be a good fit at Arkansas and could help turn them around.

Although Charlie Strong would be great as well based on his time as an assistant coach in the SEC (Florida/South Carolina)

No problem TideMan, I respect your opinion, we just disagree on Franklin. This year will give a better read on him. If Smart is willing to bide his time that's great for us or UGA. Still think Strong would be my pick if I were the picker. Trust you are getting better every day, take care of yourself, no more scares, okay.

I do agree with ya we'll get a truer feel just how good a HC Franklin is this year..If he can win with what he's got at Vandy..Imagine what he could do at Arky..I like Franklin cause he's a true old fashion players coach..His players loves him at Vandy & it shows on the football field..He reminds a lot like my old high school football HC..I guess that's why I like him so much..

You really think so..I would think there's still too much bad blood for that too happen..He would be fool to turn them down should they offer..And he would own the Arky area recruiting wise if he was their HC..So I could see them offering him as well..Crimson1967 brings up an interesting hire with Gerrick McGee..I haven't thought about him..He could factor in the coaching search if he can build off almost beatin Ohio St..UAB did look impressive against the Buckeye's..What do ya think about him..
