That return only happened because of the dang delay... Saban even said he felt responsible for not having the boys ready.
FWIW: a post from the Gator forum I frequent that thought you might find interesting. And I do agree - it is a privilege to watch a well coached Alabama team play. RTR!
--------------------
I don't think enough credit is being given to Alabama for their performance today in some incredibly difficult conditions.
They went into Columbia and punched Mizzou in the mouth from the first play of the game. Lacy rumbled for huge TD run, then McCarron started dealing and burnt them with that flea-flicker play that Charlie Weis used with us a few times (we just missed hitting it for a TD against Auburn last year). The harder the rain came down, the harder Bama slugged the Tigers. A weather delay was finally called and the vast majority of Mizzou fans chose to just say "screw it" and never returned - Bama basically "made their @ss quit" just like Saban preaches. It's true that the Tide lost a bit of their edge after the delay and made some mistakes, but that's more than understandable when you consider they were playing in front of an empty stadium at that point and already had the game in the bag. Still, it will give Nick some coaching points this week because, like he always says, it's about playing to their own standard - not anyone else's.
It's not often you can say this about other programs, but it truly is a privilege to watch these Alabama teams play the game. They do everything in such a textbook fashion and set a great example for other programs to follow.
Back to number one in all major defensive categories! Amazing how good this defense is after losing all those players.

What's almost as good? Scroll down and see where API ranks. And, they still have to face us and Georgia. Those games might push their YPG given up over 500 yards.
No truer words spoken.thanks for that.
i find it funny when rival fans have a better perspective on how good we have it as bama fans; how well our team is coached and the immense effort they give

@marctorrence: RT @Mengus22: West Virginia has allowed 1,080 yards of total offense in its past two games. Alabama has given up 1,087 all season.
Bazza... that is awesome. Thanks for sharing.

I liked how he used the phrase "rumbled" when describing Lacy's TD romp..
Why wouldn't we relate to Alabama's performances....it's all about mutual respect and love for the game we know as college football!![]()
Was Christion Jones relieved of return duties? He didn't return any kicks after taking the one 8 or 9 yards deep out of the endzone. Did I miss something?
