Robert Foster

College talk: Foster, ranked by scouting services as one of the top receivers in the country, had scholarship offers from schools across the country, but has narrowed his list to Pitt and Alabama. He has visited both schools and might make a decision soon.
The scoop: This season, he caught 45 passes for 756 yards, rushed 67 times for 549 yards and was a standout defensive back and kick returner. He also is one of the best punters in Class AAA. He played as a freshman at Monaca and finished his career with 1,332 yards rushing, 119 catches for 2,003 yards and 11 interceptions.
Most memorable moment this season? Probably my last game last week [against West Mifflin]. It was just a battle and they won.
Favorite class? Probably math.
Best part of Thanksgiving? Getting to communicate with my family, relaxing and talking about the past.
You'd like to throw something at? I wouldn't want to throw nothing at nobody.
People might be surprised to know that . . . I'm a momma's boy.

Re: WR Robert Foster Updates

I did not like to see the "I'm a momma's boy" comment.

I took it as a positive comment from someone who is proud of his momma and has a good relationship. It's kind of a catch-all phrase, a sound bite, that can mean different things to different people.

I believe the point he was making is Robert's mom wants him at Pitt.

Re: WR Robert Foster Updates

Even "mama's boys" realize that they have to cut the cord sooner or later and they must, at some point in time, do what is best for themselves instead of mom. All things equal, moms personal preference should trump.

Re: WR Robert Foster Updates

Just curious, where would Foster rank with guys like Cooper, Black, White etc if he were on campus right now?

I have only seen his highlight tape and he is somewhat like Amari but a little taller (6'2" pr 6'3"). IMO he is not like Julio but reminds me of AJ Green with some shiftiness and more finesse than Julio.

Re: WR Robert Foster Updates

I don't think he's as physically dominating as AJ or Julio. When I've seen him the guys that come to mind are Freddie Milons and Percy Harvin but taller....he's so shifty and plays with tremendous confidence and never believes the play is over even if 5 guys are ready to tackle him...think Marcus Allen as a WR and you've got a pretty good reference.

Re: WR Robert Foster Updates

we lead and look for a commitment around the 21st of Dec. if not then I would say the all american bowl.
