What is the reason for this? Even if 50,000 show up, that's only $250,000 in revenue. Plus they have to pay to print tickets and pay someone to sell them at the gate.

I assume our A Day game is still free?

If it were for charity, that's fine. I've heard some places charge a can of food to get in. But I didn't see any indication the money is going anywhere but to the athletic department's coffers.

Well what Alabama doesn't make by charging for entrance it more than makes up for with concession stands when you have 80 and 90,000 people in attendance.

Auburn must charge $5.00, because their players expect to be paid...
50,000 fans @ $5 would buy another Cam Newton. ;)

(NO... I WON'T LET IT GO...) ;)

Barner at work insist they would fill Jordan-Hare it it was free like Alabama's game. That's a sad statement and if it was true it'd be even worse.

That money goes to the groups working the concession stands.

I would hope the Bama fans present tomorrow would be willing to pay $5.

Yes it is, and I wish it wasn't. Charge $5 and donate all proceeds to a local charity or a scholarship.

If they start charging I won't go. I pay enough for regular game tickets and I already donate to charities of my choosing.
