Which one rankles me more has to do with two factors: (1) Who is coaching the team and (2) Alabama's recent record against the team. In the years between Stallings and Saban, when Fulmer was at Tennessee, the Viles were far more disgusting to me than Auburn. I just want Auburn to disappear. I wouldn't mind if Alabama never played them again, ever, whereas I want Alabama to keep playing Tennessee in order to keep them in their proper place. I guess my final answer is that hate Tennessee more.

The Barn. I've never typed there proper name on here and never will. I know too many of their fans who are too obnoxious about it. Maybe if I didn't live here it would be different. I did live in Knoxville for eight years and enjoyed it and most of the people I knew there. I even have a degree from UT, though I taped Roll Tide to the top of my cap on graduation day.

Yes, listening to the talk shows was pretty bad, but the individuals I knew weren't too bad. I lived there 1994-2002, so it was not during one of our better periods, we won the bookend games during my tenure there. They were mostly whining about Spurrier and not beating Florida most of the time. I did gain a strong distaste for Fat Phil Fullofmanure during that time, however.

I don't hate either one because that implies that I spend time thinking about or listening to anything coming out of either camp. Someone mentioned disdain, which is probably what I feel when either of these teams or fans break through my conscious thoughts.

Most of my life it's been more hate for UT, because I've lived here since I was 12. That was before Fulmer and Kramer and Dickey and their lot decided to try to kill our program. Now the barn is up there with operation red dog and the sCam, they're pushing it closer.

I will say that I've noticed recently that at least UT, to their benefit, will shut up when they go winless in the conference.

Before the fat phil era I would have voted for Auburn. Living in Tennessee and seeing all the hatred for all things Bama made them 1 on my list. They both are the only schools I like to see fail.

Growing up an hour from Tuscaloosa meant I had little interaction with awbrin fans, and the ones I did have interaction with were tolerable. I really didn't care if they won or lost, as long as we beat them. In 1992, though, I moved to within an hour of awbrin. All I heard was how Bama was filled with nothing but cheaters and such. In a very short time, I grew to despise everything about them. I rarely ever use their proper name. The amount of respect I have for the barn fan to whom I am talking or texting determines whether I pronounce/spell it correctly or capitize it.

I have found that my hatred for either of them isn't as strong when Alabama has a strong program. I've respected Tennessee in the past, but I've never respected Auburn. Tennessee has looked like an elite program before, but Auburn has always looked like a floundering little step brother of a program that's always trying its best to be like big brother, all the while talking about how much they hate us.

There are lunatics from both. We have our lunatics too, I guess. What I would love to see is both programs running a tight ship, that focuses itself internally, doing its best to be its best. I believe that would produce some truly epic games and series, with respect on both sides. Of course I don't mind it when they both suck, but the jealousy and hatred gets old fast.

The hatred I have for them both is equal after what we endured from their fan bases during our NCAA sanction years..I wouldn't blink an eye or shed a tear for either school, if the NCAA shut both football programs down, I would actually enjoy it, since both programs tried to have our football program shut down..

I strongly dislike both, but don't hate either. I am farther removed from both fanbases than most of you are, so I am less jaded because I don't have to deal with as many idiots. I don't hate UT, however I do detest Phat Phil and Lane Kiffin. If it weren't for those two idiots I wouldn't have an issue with UT. I actually do pull for them in most games, simply because I feel it boosts are SoS if our rivals are on top of their game.

Auburn on the other hand could lose every game for all I care, I refuse to pull for them no matter who they are playing. I just don't care enough about them to say that I hate them, it would require to much effort.

I will say that I will not hate a team because of their fans. There are so many idiots out there, that if I did I would hate everybody. Even some of our own fans drive me crazy, but it is typically the type of bandwagon fans that almost everyone has. Just my opinion though

Am i the only one that finds tennessee far more disgusting than the barn?I hate Auburn just as much as everyone else.I love to see them lose.But there is just something deeply nefarious about that puke orange and that dark dilapidated stadium in Knox-Ville.When i hear rocky top i feel like im at a german or iraq military parade.Sorry i got little carried away.But who do you hate more tennessee or Auburn?(notice i didn't capitalize the t in tenneessee)

In my family (75% Tide fans, 25% Barn fans), that's the one team we agree to hate together.

I know Tennessee is the 'traditional' rival, but in recent years they have been more pathetic than truly rivals. My memory of the Barn consists largely of their winning streak in the B.C.S years (Before Coach Saban) and the misery of 2010. So I voted for the Barn.

But, I reserve my official contempt for aTm.
