I misread the poll, JFB is not close Scam is the player forever for me but Fulmer & Kramer lead the pack. You guys don't forget Kramer & what he did.

I think Richmond Flowers is a stellar candidate for that label, and he was not listed at all.

As someone said, hate is not the right word (at least for me) but Scam did two things that caused me to have a strong distaste for him and for always:

1. It's not that he lead the Barn on an amazing comeback in the 2010 IB, but it's how he ran around BDS mocking the crowd afterwards.

2. The interview he did where he smiled and grinned like the thief that got away!!!

Pretty ironic you stated he ,"Grinned Like The Thief That Got Away", well, sCam actually was a thief that got away with lot of stuff while in college football..

Definitely Cam and it is frustrating that we never got our revenge game on him.
We get a little revenge every Sunday over here in NC on sCam!

I can't say that I even dislike Manzeil although I hate that he beat us last year. He's a little over the top but when you look back at guys like Stabler and Namath when they were in Tuscaloosa ... well, just imagine what today's "right now" press would do with those guys. Some of their worst stuff probably never saw the light of day. And we get our shot at evening up the score with Johnny Rabbitsfoot this Saturday. I don't remember CNS leaving any doubt in a "circled" game. I suspect the process will be on full display Saturday.

Re: If Johnny Football the most "hated" opponent in Bama History? If not, who is?

There are some players or teams that I don't hate, but I've just grown tired of constantly hearing about them from the media and basically just want to see them knocked down a few notches so that the media will shut up about them. I reached this point with Miami in 1992 (hearing how they were basically unbeatable), Peyton Manning, Manti T'eo last year and I've reached that point with Johnny Whineziel this year. I felt some of that toward Honey Badger in 2011 until his cheap shot on Dre in the first game and then I truly wanted to see him beaten down like the little "Posh" Spice Boy he was. Cam was arrogant and needed comeuppance badly. Nick Fairley deserved nothing less than to leave the field on a cart because he was a dirty piece of scum.

Phat Phil deserves what he's getting now. No one in Knoxville other than some of his punk players (Eryk Ainge, et al.) gives him the time of day any longer. He gets the implied credit for bringing down UThug football to just slightly above the level of Kentucky football. All the bad things that have happened could be rightly attributed to bad karma which he brought upon the program. I hope UThug continues to suffer until every vile finally resigns themselves to the fact that his actions are the cause of the pain and struggles and they heap unbridled hate upon him in blinding torrents. I hope his last days are spent in the misery of knowing that he is reviled by the orange-clad masses. Let it be a lesson to others that would take the low road.

I can't hate JM or any other young man just because he acts like a jackazz from time to time.

So anyway, I picked Peyton... I just don't like him as he's still got the orange stain in my book.

I had to go with Tebow. I know he didn't do a whole lot to make me hate him, but losing a chance at a championship in 2008 and hearing about him NONSTOP for 2 years before the 2009 game made me want to beat him more than any individual player ever.

Can't argue with ya at all, I actually agree 100% with ya, when we lost to the gators in the '08 SEC Championship Game, and he went around the stadium doing gator chomps after the game..That really ticked me off & lost made me lose respect for him after that..

I'm all for celebrating after a big win, but, do it to a fan base that really respected him & showed him so much love when we recruited him..Left a bad taste in my mouth after that & when you combine all the media hype around him, when we made him cry the next year in the SEC Championship Game, was thoroughly satisfying to me..I'm not ashamed to admit that in the least..

I went with Fairly because he is a dirty player. I can't stand Cam, but I don't think he's a bad person other than having his dad pimp him out during recruiting.

I voted for Peyton because of breaking the streak and leading the viles band playing Rocky Top. Cam and Manziel are interchangeable parts for 2nd and 3rd. Never considered Tebow an enemy after the tearfest.

Any of the players that the Tide actually redeemed themselves against ie. Honeybadger and Tebow I harbor no ill will toward. I'm hoping by Sunday I can add Manziel to that list.

Fairly is a worthy of our votes, when it comes to ben "Hated" by Bama Fans, he was a"Fairly" dirty player as well..Typical aubie "Thug"..
