I just looked, and there isn't anything on the front page of the sports section.

To clarify any statements I have made...

I think it is a reasonable conclusion that if Mal Moore was still the AD, we'd probably not be having this discussion. It is somewhat reasonable for someone to re-evaluate their job when bosses change though.

I think Nick Saban is smart enough that if the main issue was Bill Battle, he'd just have Bill Battle replaced and that would be that.

Having said that, my comments about Bill Battle all come down to me not trusting him. Bill thought he had a deal signed, it's not. He's done a few other questionable things. I don't think he has bad intentions, I don't think he dislikes Saban, but that doesn't mean he's the guy to talk Saban off the ledge (assuming he's on it in the first place).

Here's why I don't care for Battle: a week after CNS BEGGED the fans to come to the Chatt game and stay the whole time, Battle says in an interview, that he doesn't blame the fans for leaving and that is was OK to leave after the 3rd quarter in a boring or blow out game! What AD says that??!!

I'm no stranger to sarcasm.

One could argue that his presence at Alabama has made the SEC better as a whole. I don't think we'd have won a BCS title and have a chance for another without him in Tuscaloosa. Or even this unprecedented run of 7, possibly 8, titles in a row for the SEC.

More fun this way.

I would remind you that no one here is in the mood for any Auburn crap. I'd watch the sarcasm. Just sayin.

I heard that too, and I didn't appreciate it. It was undermining Saban's efforts in my estimation, and I thought it was tacky on his part.

At this point in all honesty, I would just like something definitive one way or the other. I'd prefer he stay obviously, but I'm tired of constantly hearing this. Put it to rest please.

I'm not really a fan of Bill Battle just yet, but Earle said Saban's current state of mind isn't about the AD. That's not to say he is handling things well - who knows? If he was a problem though, I don't think Saban would hesitate to complain about him.

I saw the interview and couldn't believe it. He should want those seats full, too. I've just never gotten a good vibe from him. I guess that is what happens when you have to fill Mal Moore's shoes. :frown:
