Yeah I don't buy that statement from Herbie. Never have really picked up on a serious friendship/relationship between Saban and Herbie.

Former poster who was famous for marathon runs through Antarctica, while wearing shorts and a tank top, and chain smoking. He also wrestled bears and lions while drunk, and held weekly meetings with several NFL coaches and general managers.

Heard Butch Davis' name thrown around today at Rotary. Evidently he has a letter from the NCAA absolving him of any guilt at UNC. Interesting...

In his spare time, he gave Warren Buffet business advice, was a trouble shooter for the scientists working on the Large Hadron Collider and lectured at all the top law schools. He was also devestatingly handsome and got all the best womenfolk. Basically, the Most Interesting Man in the World. Only more so.
