Could it be CGM agreed in principal but, asked for a new arena or massive renovation and CBB has to go back to the board and once agreed to, the plane will be back to pick up CGM? He could easily get an answer on the flight back and then the BOT meet ASAP to 'officially' approve.

Neither have I.

All specualtion on my part, but watching that video, it looks like when he got out of the SUV those 2 other guys asked him how it went (or something), he said something to them, and when he thought he was out of the camera view he started to smile. But of course they could have cracked a joke to him too, and he started to smile as well. or they could have told him his favorite burger was waiting for him on the plane....only those gentlemen know. And something tells me we will know tomorrow either way. LOL

Just me but I'd want a night to talk it over with my family, pray about it, sleep on it, and then thank the Wichita St. family and my players before departing...if I was indeed taking the new opportunity.

He knew that before he met with Battle. You have to figure that today was about "the final touches" which may include Marshall assessing Battle and Alabama's commitment to basketball, long term plans, etc. And based on how Marshall has approached this, it would not surprise me at all for him to think about it and give an answer tomorrow.
If Marshall knew he was returning to Wichita, there is no reason we shouldn't know that as well. He is at least still mulling it. And, of course, he may have decided yes. If the first news we hear is of a team meeting in Wichita, the deal is done. If the answer is no, the answer will break through news outlets and ESPN.

I get the feeling it won't happen but I am pleased that Battle went for the slam dunk. Now, if he says/said no, don't get gunshy and go right after the next big time coach available...don't fall prey to the "I can't take a 'NO' and must find someone quick" disease.
