Muschamp or Pruitt?

Didn't hear Kirk, but my friends and family in Athens said there were stories that Pruitt was a disruptive influence on the staff. Earlier in the season when things started coming apart, word was he was lobbying heavily with key boosters to oust Richt and give him the job.

Also other stories floating around that I won't get into. Needless to say, that staff was pretty dysfunctional at the end.

Heard the the same on AJC board.

Not connected to UGA and/or AJC news and not trying to defend Pruitt but if he saw the writing on the wall with CMR and his questionable decision making (i.e. Bauta fiasco) then why not lobby for drastic change? It appeared to me that the staff was dysfunctional long before seasons end.

What did Herbstreit mean this morning about Pruitt, and what he was doing 'behind the scenes at UGA" as a reason why CNS may not pursue him?

He was saying Richt wouldn't hire him at the U.

Let me re-phrase was I meant. The staff was dysfunctional (according to family, friends in Athens) even before the season started. It was a disaster looking for a place to happen. My understanding much of the back biting and in fighting was happening even before the season started. Think back to the DuBose era here and you'll get my understanding. Everyone on the staff had an "agenda". Same at UGA.

Gotcha. Point made and taken.
