I thought the pass Hurts threw to Stewart to open up the 3rd was the best pass he has thrown all year. He will get better and better as the year goes on.

We played an absolutely fantastic game against a great opponent. Our defense dominated. Our offense WAS dominated by THEIR defense.
We won, that's what matters. But to sit here and say we "dominated' is about the stupidest statement I've ever read in my entire life.
Now bring on the arguments. We won, I'm happy as hell that we did, but to say we dominated is ridiculous.

Alabama dominated LSU. They had a good plan to take away the read option game but we had a good counter in the second half. The 2nd half is the winning half and we had the ball for like 22-25 minutes of it.

had he made the 1st FG, i have zero doubt, we would have kicked the FG there...but adam has been struggling very bad lately...remember the chip shot 29 yarder he missed vs aTm? i'm sure coach saban does. i'm also sure that had a part in why we went for it on 4th and 1 at the one

Adam has not been consistent in FGs, but he is not the worst in the league though (Mizzou, Miss State, Tenn, and possibly LSU PKs have had worse years when it comes to FGs and XPs). he has made 10 FGs which is tied for 4th in the league. His percentage puts him around 9th. he is 100% on XPs and has kicked more than any other kicker in the conference. (which is why I think the 4th and 1 at the goaline call had nothing to do with Adam. He has been perfect from that this year 43/43). He has been excellent on kickoffs.

In short, he has been perfect on XPs and very good on kickoffs, but has struggled on FGs, missing too many 30-40 yarders this year. I believe there is good reason to be nervous when he kicks a crucial FG, but I also believe there has been a bit of hyperbole in the thread so far.

Can't agree with either of your claims here. "Fortunate to win" is like a backhanded compliment and implies, to some degree, being undeserving. Bama earned the W tonight. LSU wouldn't score if we played until Mardi Gras. Griffith hasn't had a stellar year, thus far, but to say he can't kick is uncalled for. I'll remind you of last year's Auburn game and the CFPNCG. There's more to his role on this team than just kicking FG's.

Yep. Puts it in the end zone unless he's told not to do so.

I agree his inconsistency is frustrating but we've seen how good he can be.

Not trying to pile on too much. But for me, just as frustrating as missing the fg, right after we score, his kick off goes to the 5 and they get a good return. Can't imagine that was by design..

Not having Eddie Jackson really hurt our field position. Our secondary adjusted well without him though.
