The video plays all the classic stereotypes;

-Dumb football players
-Academics are different for jocks (which had been proven very publicly at different schools)
-forged grades or no play deals

The skit, in and of itself is entertaining. Some probably won't like the dig directly at Alabama. Just remember, this type of thing only happens when your king of the hill. You don't have to watch it and give it clicks, just figured I'd let everyone know about it.

I agree. They had a short lived stint in the 90s but that's about it. Only Phil Hartman (RIP) made it funny. The new stuff is terrible.

FWIW I just watched the skit and found it not only offensive but also NOT in the least bit humorous.

I really wanted to be offended (considering they used the actual building I did my work in at the Capstone, even), but come on... It wasn't that bad, and in fact was so good-natured that it wasn't cutting enough to really be as funny as it could have been. Still, the "Five Types of Bananas" bit was pretty good...

The first crew will always be the best, but I think they stopped being really funny recently was when Ferrell, katan, and Fallon left. But they usually have a real funny crew and then have a hit or miss crew right after. The crew that was after the first was very meh.

I used to think the same until I found out just how awesome he is behind the scenes. If you ever go look at the Make-A-Wish numbers, nobody else comes near him. At all. He was a 460 last year. Nobody else had cracked 300. That's absurd.

I thought the skit was funny. You could substitute any other power 5 school (with the exception of the Vanderbilts and Stanfords of the world) and the joke wouldn't change a bit.

I passed on it. It was a cheap shot, ironically the day after the Tide graduated 16 players and a legend. It maligns all the student athletes who keep their academics up while enduring practice, travel and games.

never ever been a fan of SNL but this was pretty funny. not nearly as funny as Baldwin as Trump though.
