Offensive Identity

Bingo! We have a winner! We run well and then just decide to stop and let Jalen run for his life. Real head scratcher.

Our starting backfield next season will be Najee and Josh Jacobs. Harris and Scarborough are going pro.
Don't forget Robinson - he has super-star potential. Your backfield will be fine next year, as will all of your skill positions on offense. I also think that your o-line will be better.

RB is the one position I'm least worried about. I hope the OL gets back to being mean.

Agree. He can tote the rock for sure. I was very impressed with him this year. As for the O line...absolutely must be better, whatever that takes.

And, if he had cut right, instead of left, on 2 plays against Mercer . . . he would have 2 TDs over 60 yards each.

"Offensive identity" in my opinion is a media made-up thing. If you score more than the other team, your identity is winner. We managed to do it 11 times out of 12. JMHO.
I disagree . . . I believe it is more about team confidence and "bread and butter" plays.

We try to be good at everything instead of being excellent at a few things.

Anybody that`s old enough to remember Vince Lombardi at Green Bay will know about this. " This is the sweep. We will run it, and run it, and run it until we do it perfectly ". The results ( to include an all pro, hall of fame QB by the way ) are a matter of history.

In my opinion we are simply trying to satisfy too many players with playing time at the detriment of our offensive consistency. This year, we have been a much more explosive offense when Damien is in the game. For him to only get 6 carries is criminal. Tonight was actually the best I’ve seen Bo run this year, but until now has not been as dynamic as he was a year ago. I understand the need for fresh legs but I think we lack some consistency due to our commitment to a rotation. We have great talent that we need to make sure gets touches but we also need sustainability.
OTOH, Kerryon did pretty well on tired legs...

I have to say, I was very impressed with Kerryon. It's not like he ran all over Bama like a Derrick Henry, Mark Ingram or TR but he did get a lot of carries and showed a tremendous amount of toughness. Dude was very durable and imho was their MVP yesterday. Wish we had given our RB's chances like that.

I think it's important to establish a main back, but others in the "committee" can contribute significantly (Ingram 08, Richardson 09, Yeldon 12).
