When I look at Jalen and I look at Hurts, one thing is clear - it's not about skin color at all...![]()
Well, of course not.

Dabo would lose his mind if we started the game with a successful onsides kick.

I might start Tua at QB against Clemson, simply because he's a better QB.

I was having some computer gliches when I typed this. I would start, not might start. For some reason, the first post was not shown to be accepted so I typed the second. I know who the better QB is.Make up your mind - might you start him, or would you start him?
Still not sure who you think is the better QB though. :conf2:
Well I am glad that someone knows.I was having some computer gliches when I typed this. I would start, not might start. For some reason, the first post was not shown to be accepted so I typed the second. I know who the better QB is.
What about that backside screen which seemed to catch us flatfooted every time AU ran it?I hope Saban does have something up his sleeve. He had to have known chances were very high we'd play Clemson again. I imagine he has been looking at the details since they day after the Iron Bowl (for several teams including Clemson).
Maybe he and Daboll will run some plays nobody has seen yet this season, or some things we ran last year on offense. I do think it would be interesting to use Tua at some point in the game (with our without Jalen on the field) just to confuse Dabo.
If nothing else, I hope Saban realizes we need to run the ball more with Damien, Josh, and Bo. That alone will have major benefits. I would even try to use some of the trick plays that Auburn used against us and UGA.
I'd love to see that, but I don't see it happening. And, I agree he's the better QB.I would start Tua at QB against Clemson, simply because he's a better QB.
This is still my favorite Saban GIF of all time.
Surely, you forgot to make your text blue?I'd love to see that, but I don't see it happening. And, I agree he's the better QB.
Seems this thread is creeping back into the current season rather than 2018 QB completion, which is the thread title. Jalen is the starter. He gives us the best chance at the win PROVIDED that our coaches design an attack based on the running game and clock possession with less RPO/QB centric decision making. Tua deserves to have a series or two kind of like the way the wildcat is implemented because he has played well as a true frosh and does add a different dynamic into our offense.
I'd love to see that, but I don't see it happening. And, I agree he's the better QB.
He definitely has more upside. And now is the perfect time to get him ready. You are correct, I started the thread basically just suggesting that Tua has more upside in the passing game than Jalen does and hoping that he has a real opportunity to compete for the job in the spring. My opinion, is that Jalen gives us the best chance to win the next 2 games.
