Only 10? How many "Come on Jalen!"s did you have? If I remember right, I had as many "come on Jalen's" during the season as I had Roll Tides! That is up until the 2nd half of the championship game.

Moving in the video, I’ve hit the oh my god”, “you gotta be kidding me”, and “this is awful”. There’s a play in the Iron Bowl where Cam Sims is WIDE OPEN RIGHT IN FRONT of Jalen on the slant but Jalen is too busy staring down Ridley but he’s not open so he runs to the right and throws it out of bounds. If he hits Cam, it’s a first down.

Where can I find the stat for completion % if balls thrown to the sideline? He had to have been one of the worst in CFB last year at doing that.

He seemed to have a real love for Robert Foster and to a lesser extent Cam Sims at the very least. Two of the older guys that Bell would've known from either being on the team together or from recruiting visits.
Yah I did notice those things.

Maybe they both played high school ball near where John Doe lives? I'm sure someone will tell me they grew up like 1,000 miles apart.

Was Bell's last year 2012 or 2013? He's the one who caught the flea flicker from AJ against A&M in 2013, right? It's a tad of a stretch

Also, I think this falls more into the "theory" category rather than the "rumor" category.

Who ever he is he cracks me up. When he gets worked up I start laughing REALLY hard. "Look, Jerry settin up a tent back there. He be buildin a fire he been there so long."

Bell finished in 2013. His flea flicker was in 2012 but he did catch a TD against TAMU in 2013z

At one point he says "as a receiver" so he played receiver...who knows what level?

"This is 'chess' not 'checkers!"

"His Mama knows he can't make that pass"

"Even Tony Brown could make that pass!"

I think the QB competition is over and Tua will be the starter. At least 99% of the fan base seems to feel that way. Coach Saban probably doesn't want to tip his hand yet because he wants Louisville to take time practicing for both QB's. The only remaining decision for Saban is how he wants to utilize Jalen and Mac in backup duties. I think Mac needs the snaps more than Jalen because Mac has much more potential to get better while Jalen seems to have hit a plateau. If I were coach I'd try to use Mac a lot in mop up duty and then still have Jalen available later in the season if disaster would strike and Tua gets injured. Then either one could play without losing Jalen's redshirt.

If/when Alabama has put Louisville away with a comfortable lead, it will be interesting to see who Coach Saban puts in at QB.

I'm sure his interview voice is different but anyone listen to interviews with him and compare the voices?
Here is an interview with Bell. I couldn't find any with better audio. It's difficult to tell and CA will know this as well but the distance from the mic affects the tamber of the voice and you also lose some of the subtleties. John Doe has some nice clean southern "s" sounds - almost a little lisp-like, and the lows are more pronounced. Bell's interview is further away so the high's are reaching the mic cleaner and you lose some of the vocal subtleties.

Well, right there he ain't ticked off and liquored up, lol.....

Seriously, if that's Bell - he needs a Netflix series. I laughed way more than most of what I see posted as "comedy" on there.

Both voices kind of high pitched. The older you get, pretty often the better speaker you learn to be, including enunciation. Could be him

Whoever he is, he knows how to break down film, which means he's done it quite a bit.

As others have noted, the breakdown shows that Jalen's biggest problem wasn't bad throws...but rather that he didn't throw to receivers who ran great routes called by great coaches.

"Ruggs over there building a campfire right now"

lol. This video is hilarious. Although it does make me realize that I've given Jalen more credit than he likely deserved. Still have a lot of respect for him but I feel worse for our receivers and running backs. Hopefully this season starts correcting that.

"I can throw 21 yards on one play sittin from my COUCH."

"Jalen know he can't throw. Y'all know he can't throw. I know he can't throw. The viewers know he can't throw. ESPN know he can't throw. HIS MOMMA KNOW. HE. CAN'T. THROW. Les be 100, SHE KNOW."

"Look at that laser. BOW. Look at this laser. LOOK AT THAT LASERRR! BOOOWWW! AIN'T NO WOUNDED DUCKS!"

"You think I give a damn bout Jalen threw one interception dis year? I DON'T GIVE A DAMN IF TUA THROW TEN! CUZ THERE'S GONNA BE A HUNDRED TOUCHDOWNS BEHIND IT!"

Totally agree. To the average Joe off the street (myself in that category), I'm just looking at what Jalen missed as he threw it. This guy (whoever he is) taught me a lot in that video.

That's what I'm wondering too. If Jalen wants to save a year of eligibility he can only play in 4 games. Seems like you would want to save those for later in the season just in case. Personally I would be comfortable seeing Mac run out on the field as the backup.

Well, Jalen wanted coach to talk to him so the conversation at this point probably needs to be "Jalen, do you want to play in four games or less this year so you can redshirt OR are you committed to staying at Alabama for the rest of your career?"

I think I know the answer Jalen will give, but right now, it sounds like the conversation he wanted to have about being the starter has been eclipsed by his play on the field.
