Game Thread: OFFICIAL POSTGAME THREAD - Bama vs. MSU...

I was there today.... it may not have been the loudest ever... but it had its moments. Overall it was a very good atmosphere for college football.

As someone noted, crowd is supposed to be loud when the opposing team has the ball. We dominated TOP when the game was in reach, so it kind of took the crowd out of game, so to speak.

I've been there for a few games, like LSU, a few years ago and you couldn't have heard a jet buzz the upper decks.

Glad that one is over. Roll Tide!

The Georgia game was a teaching moment.
I learned that Auburn can't run the ball, nor can their Defense stop the run.

We need to run the ball down their throats.

I also learned that some of the MSU guys will go for the knees to take out our QB.
That's not dirty football, that's nasty football.

I was at the game... so I just saw the replay. When Tua was sacked and hurt, the MSU player speared him with his helmet into his leg. It was deliberate.

Yeah, but what does this mean? They were so prepared or adjusted defensively, or something else

I think that he meant that the MSU film study paid off for them. They must be tipping some of the run plays. Gotta get that fixed.

A good day in BDS, but brother it was cold. It's a bit difficult to be loud when clapping with gloves on and shouting through a muffler, but I was doing my part.

Where were the screen passes today? A few of those and that would have slowed the MSU pass rush - and helped save our QB from some nasty hits. Not one of Locksley's better game plans, or not a good job of in-game adjustments.

Did I mention how cold it was? Brrrrrrrrrrr… ha!

A little off of the thread subject but while we seem to be trending ever so slightly downward, Clemson and Michigan are killing it and seem to be peaking at the right time. What do y’all think?

Our schedule ratcheted up several notches in difficulty over the past two weeks. Theirs has been weak all year. I’m sorry. BC is having a nice season but not one player on their team
would crack the starting lineup for Clemson. This was our worst game of the year by far and we still won by 24! I just don’t see the downward trend, except that certain guys aren’t 100% healthy.

Killing what? with what? Peaking where? Clemson has a true QB playing and he hasn't really faced a real good defense. Michigan benefited from a league that sucks.

We’re not trending downward at all. We just played two of the best defenses in the country, put up 500 against one and probably would’ve put up more points against State if Brown didn’t get hurt and Dantzler didn’t spear Tua in the thigh. Our defense is hitting their stride at the right time and is playing on the level of Michigan and Clemson, if not better.

No....Michigan is playing Rutgers. Alabama just played two top 20 teams back to back. I am sure we will be trending upwards again when we play the citadel.

Well, injuries aren't helping and our schedule was back-loaded, but I do agree that Michigan and Clemson have made strides.

The more pessimistic side of me would add that teams seem to be catching on to the offense and that our offensive staff seems dumbfounded as to how to cut the predictability and make counter adjustments, but the jury's really still out on that...
