Game Thread: OFFICIAL POSTGAME THREAD - Bama v. The Sooners...

It looked like Darth Vader’s meditation chamber with those weird red spikes. Really strange aesthetic.

Here, B1G. These were illuminated red last night. Looked really strange from the blimp. Even Mrs. Dub commented on how strange they were.

BTW, the biggest difference between Tua and Murray is apparently Mirray’s rushing numbers. I’m not so impressed by a ton of yards picked up off of broken plays that are sprung by uncalled holding penalties.

In case you guys were curious, the whole of OU nation that we ran across tonight was class acts from start to finish. Some of the online posters that were giving people a bad name.....ignore them. Met many a sooner tonight that was gracious even in defeat.

We had the same experience.

Was it just me or was Herbie and Fowler seemingly cheering on OU last night? At one point I asked out loud if they were trying to get a date with Murray.

It should have been obvious to anyone watching last night who the best player was. Yet I see people doubling down on the nonsense. Murray has a ton of ability and did put up a lot of yards last night. But they were empty yards. It should be apparent now, how his numbers would have suffered playing in a different league. It should be impressive now, to think what Tua would have done in the Big 12, for a coach that doesn’t believe in shortening the game.

Well we won, we are moving on, and they can cry over beating us 34-17 over the last half of the game.

I'm not sure why people (media members included) don't understand that OU has an offensive system that's going to put up tons of points and gargantuan numbers pretty much no matter who the players are. Sure, playing in the Big 12 helps, but it's really about the system (which is a phenomenal one by the way). There seems to be an understanding that the QB for a Mike Leach team, for example, is going to put up massive passing stats regardless of his talent. There should be a similar understanding for OU offensive players, but something about the fact that OU's offense is pretty well-rounded and not gimmicky or excessively focused on doing any one particular thing or whatever throws people off. They haven't reeled in an unbelievable string of world-beating QBs or discovered the truth that no one else knows about QB evaluation or anything; they've just made a bunch of QBs look like world beaters. It branches out from there too: Brooks and Sermon aren't better than any of our top 3 RBs, but they put up bigger stats; Brown isn't better than our top WRs, but put up bigger stats; etc.

Kyler actually adds something to their system, because his scrambling ability really is elite and compliments what OU has very nicely. But take him away from CFB's best offensive machine, and he's likely putting up numbers that are closer to average than Heisman-winning.

Early on they were pretty fair, but when the Sooners were trying to get back in the game they were trying to hold onto viewers. The best way to do that is to pump up the team that is down and have the viewers believe that they might miss a comeback if they change the channel.

Blatant ... usually Fowler is very biased ..Herbie has deteriorated to that level too

Just gonna get worse against clemson both his sons go there.

That's exactly it. They wanted folks to stay tuned in. The fat lady wasn't singing yet.
