Game Thread: Texas A&M @ UGA (Fighting Bowl Cuts)

Second OC they've had and it is still the same offense. The offense is only going to change if the head coach lets it change.

LSU will blast UGA. Their offense doesn’t wake up till too late.

I don't think UGA is that good either, but I do think they may be able to control the clock against LSU to help their defense limit LSU's offense. It will be an interesting contrast in styles. Fromm seems to have regressed this year, though.

UGA will be pumped up for the SEC champ game. So will the crowd. I don't really like LSU much either, but I still hope they are up for the game and curb stomp the Dawgs. All their players need to stay healthy, especially Burrow. Don't they play Texas AM next week?

I just don't see how UGA is ranked 4. Will be interesting to see what Rob Mullins says about them Tuesday.

Is there such a thing as an unsatisfactory victory, a #4 CFP ranking, 10-1 season, SEC East Champions and fate firmly in the grasp of our own hands, because it sure feels that way. We will get blown out in the SECCG if our offense continues to struggle like it has recently.

Fighting Bowl Cuts is pretty funny!

We're one bad Saturday away from a disappointing 10-2 season when we lost enough starters and contributors to injuries to sink most teams. If we have a good Saturday next weekend and finish 11-1, the season could be made a bit more bitter if a group of folks on a committee don't let us into the playoffs.

It is a weird place, these commanding heights of college football. Sometimes I wish I could just go back to my college days where upsetting Florida in the regular season or beating a mediocre Tennessee team on a last second FG were huge moments for the program. It is kinda joyless when you know from the outset you're playing a 3-game season and all the others were won in the offseason.

This, IMO, sums up the Alabama's fan base right now - 91 wins in a row over unranked opponents. Sounds like something that would make a fan base joyous. In this case, it is "expected" and viewed as no accomplishment. So, as you said, Alabama fans find joy only in a few wins each year, and any year that ends in less than a championship is a disappointment.

It is a glorious place to be, but can be so much more if you learn to enjoy the 50 point beat downs over lesser opponents. Soon enough you will no longer be able to take those games for granted. Before we know it, every game will be something to worry about again.

Enjoy this moment. Few fans ever experience something as beautiful as this dynasty.

This is exactly how I see it. It is almost self-equalizing, but the more games you win, the more you expect to win, and the less you enjoy each win, and the more it hurts to lose. Compare with say USCe playing Georgia, when they win it is an epic success, when we win it feels like "phew! on to the next one!".

But would I rather be USCe and beat Georgia once every 5 years? No.
