Link: QB Jake Fromm Declares For The Draft

I guess I’m in the minority but I think he will do well. He was trying to QB with a scared coach and handcuffed playbook. He throws one of the best back shoulder passes I’ve seen in a while

I'm surprised he came back because he actually is a decent prospect but his 2019 season was very poor due to the WR corp depletion. Reckon he doesn't thin 2020 stands to be much better with the OL depletion and Sam Pittman going to Fayetteville.

I think he was better than Georgia allowed him to be. People constantly try to say we should go back to a Coch Mac and Nuss system in which the Qb is just a piece and not a superstar, and live off the run and our defense. But seeing Kirby's UGA these past 4 years, I think it proves you cant win like that especially in a sport that favors the offense.

I tend to agree. I just like mocking them in any way.

I like Jake Fromm as a person from what I saw on the Netflix show when he was on it a few years ago. Good kid. UGA fans (a whole lot) want him gone. Now they are saying he will tote a clipboard. Just for him, I hope he lands somewhere in the NFL and does great just to prove them wrong. And if we don't win the championship next year maybe tOSU will just so Fields will win it. Rub it in their faces. And I am not EVEN an OSU fan at all.

They blame him for the team's offensive woes and are happy for him to go. And they will blame him for leaving when things begin to go south next year.

So, I read Cade Mayes, who started 12 games as a 5 star Olineman for UGA, is in the transfer portal and going to Tennessee. They just signed his brother too. That makes 4 of the 5 Olinemen gone for UGA.

Maye's dad, Kevin, is suing UGA and a chair manufacturer company because his finger had to be partly amputated when it got stuck in a folding chair at an athletic event. The fact that Sam Pittman left at the O line position, and the dad is suing would probably give Cade immediate eligibility.

This was on another Bama message board, tweeted by a sports writer. Not sure if true, but sounds like it is. I will try to post the link. It is on the Alabama Sports Board SEC rant under football recruiting and roster page 516.

You never not want a superstar on your team. The "problem" isn't the superstar, but rather the coaching staff giving into the temptation of relying too much on him and ignoring the talents at other positions. Coaches have to learn to "manage" better when they have a superstar.

I bet that hurts their collective psyche...…...….sounds like things aren't swell in the dawg house

True but the hand it off and rely on your defense strategy is a more flawed strategy.

I'd make Florida the favorite to win the East now next season.

I'd like to think so but I'm concerned about how Coach Mullen will include Emory Jones in the process.

I'm not too happy about how things have gone regarding how he's managed our quarterbacks, to be honest.

Maybe I expect too much - but in any event I have concerns. We'll see.....

If they had continued to let Fromm throw in the 2018 CFP championship game and not go heavy run game they would probably have won...he was on fire. Glad that Kirby "Smart" changed his offense in the second half. This showed he has the talent. This year they had injuries to key WR's and RB's so tough to grade him on this year. Not unhappy he's gone as UGA is in a world of hurt in that position now

Agreed. If you mean "handing it off" with the intention of just wasting a down so you can punt. But if you've got elite talent in the backfield (which on a college level N. Harris elite) and a good offensive line. There's no need to ignore that aspect of your team.

I think Sark's strategy works more than Locksley's, but we were really hampered by Tua's injury and so many injuries on defense to really avoid 2 losses. I think if we get Najee back, then I think there will be more of an attempt to have more balance since we will have 3 backs and 2 elite receivers, but ultimately I think a national championship bout will hinge on our defense and injuries.

But I think its clear that to win a championship you need a vertical threat qb, a dominate running back, a cautiously aggressive playcaller, and a capable defense. You can really see why Oklahoma has struggled so much in the playoffs, and why Georgia has failed with one of the most talented rosters year in and year out

Heck in the SECCG he did the same thing, but its overshadowed by the Justin Fields play. Even an aggressive high school coach would've punted that ball, and forced Jalen Hurts to be a hero 90 yards away.

Yep...……………….pretty much describes him to a T

Where’s our dawg to tell us someone better is taking over?

UGA night take a step in a weird direction now......looks like they might go to the portal....... don’t want to take a chance on Beck?

Close, dawgs are saying Matt Luke wants to remake the offense to fit his style. A more mobile QB, more athletic linemen, etc. I guess all those guys were pushed out the door
