I wouldn't be surprised. The season he had won't help. Also, his hands are pretty small, 8.75", for his size. Tua's are 10.13. It shows up in what a QB can do with the ball...I saw something stating he would be a Day 3 draft
That could be true, especially after this last season. He’s still 4th on list at Georgia for most passing yards and 3rd for touchdowns. I think he will do fine in NFL if put on the right team. He seems like a great guy all around. I wish him luck. I’m still glad we don’t have to play against him now because he can be very good.
I also hope they don’t find a grad transfer , and if they do, he’s slow at learning everything since we play them early. 😀
I'll be honest, I had to fact check Kellen Mond. Seems like that dude has been playing college ball longer than Donavan McNabb did.Returning SEC QB's for 2020:
SEC West:
Alabama- Mac Jones
Auburn- Bo Nix
LSU- Myles Brennan??
aTm- Kellen Mond
Miss St.- ????
Ole Miss- John Plumlee
Arkansas-????
SEC East:
Georgia-????
Florida-Kyle Trask?
South Carolina-Ryan Hilinski
Missouri-????
Tennessee-????
Vandy-????
Kentucky-????
It's good to be an Alabama fan going into the 2020 season.
Yes and he was taught by Professor Donovan McNabb.Did Kellen Mond go to the Riley Norris School of Perpetuity?
Does that mean he loves Campbell's Chunky soup too?Yes and he was taught by Professor Donovan McNabb.
Word is they are looking at a grad transfer from Wake Forest named Newman. He is an athletic dual threat QB. David Pollack seems to be very high on him.
I wonder if he started there? Have not kept up with Wake Forrest. I also saw 2 other QB names on the wish list. I think UGA will get a dual threat QB and change their offense some over the summer.. maybe not to the degree as LSU did, but they will look different when we play them in Sept. Their defense will still be very good.
I am sure as soon as signing day is over and schools have their new coaches in place, (if he's not doing it already), Saban will be watching film on every Georgia player, including the incoming freshman. He will start prepping for USC but probably UGA too.
Yes, though we will have to see if Mond gets any better as a senior.
I'd like to think so but I'm concerned about how Coach Mullen will include Emory Jones in the process.
I'm not too happy about how things have gone regarding how he's managed our quarterbacks, to be honest.
Maybe I expect too much - but in any event I have concerns. We'll see.....
Close, dawgs are saying Matt Luke wants to remake the offense to fit his style. A more mobile QB, more athletic linemen, etc. I guess all those guys were pushed out the door
Mond is not a good QB. I didn't appreciate him beating his chest and SEC media days last year, and after the year he had he probably didn't appreciate what he did either.
Georgia fans think Luke will modernize the offenseSo they are letting the brand new OL coach dictate the offensive policy? Sounds about right.
no, but the dawgs I have talked to are thinking he was brought in to modernize the offense . He is the AHC and on the offensive side of the ball, some think he is having a major influence. I guess it is like Joe Brady is the Passing game coordinator at LSU and Ensminger is the OC, but the offense overall changed dramatically. Wouldn’t be surprised to see Coley leave after next year If the offense doesnt improve, and that will take work after all the losses on O.Is Matt Luke the OC now? ðŸ¤â€
I'm just glad he didn't take Plumlee with him...his running ate our lunch last year...and did the same to LSU.Georgia fans think Luke will modernize the offense

Agreed...We'll all have some film and be better prepared this time around. Though that kid with CLK is a bit scary...I'm just glad he didn't take Plumlee with him...his running ate our lunch last year...and did the same to LSU.
