When I heard that they had 2 confirmed cases, I knew that they were in deep trouble. There is no way to practice social distancing on an aircraft carrier. To stop this they needed to pull into port and disembark. That was never going to happen. Now they have over 100, and likely far more than that.support the troops?

Our military takes its direction from Trump. I am so glad that my son has not yet joined the Navy.

I had to pass this along, on a lighter note. Talking to my (remote) secretary today, she related that her pastor had been in a supermarket over the weekend and the TP shelves were almost empty - only two packages. He decided to take them, hoping they would restock soon. An older lady came up and looked disappointed when she saw the empty shelves. Being a good Samaritan, he offered her one of his. She looked, sniffed and replied that she was "partial to Charmin"... 
I was in a thread on another board a few weeks ago in which almost every female poster was adamant that Scotts was too rough and would never do. Their preferred brands varied, with Charmin at the top of most lists. That same thread today has these same women a whole lot less picky .
Well, I posted before that my wife's best friend caught it on a plane ride, sitting by an Italian. We thought she'd recovered. She apparently hadn't. She's in the hospital with breathing difficulties. It doesn't look good...
She was so short of breath she was having problems with conversation. I doubt a continuing infection, no fever, just major lung damage. That's the part of this iceberg which is hidden by all the acute cases...
And very likely the cytokine storm wreaking havoc on multiple organs. I am praying for her and her providers.
I hope that's not the case. The beginning of her symptoms is now over three weeks ago. She's gone through the acute phase with the fever, nausea, myalgia, pneumonia (which went into bacterial pneumonia). I think this is cumulative lung damage...
Really about a month ago. She had underlying asthma...

Interesting info in there about treatments, including vitamin B3, IL-1 or other cytokine inhibitors, some herbal medicine, and I've got another article in which Cytosorb in again mentioned (it filters out cytokines).
Addressing this issue is going to be the key to saving those with severe cases.
B3 or a B-Complex could be protective. (big change in wording here)
ETA: HUGE caveat - talk to your provider before beginning niacin, especially if you take statin drugs.
