I love Ghost. I first had it when a co-worker (from Louisiana) brought some back after visiting her parents. Then it showed p in Florida near where we vacation. And later last year, we started seeing it in GA. Its a super tasty IPA.

If you can find them, Parish makes some other really good IPAs. Nova Vert (typically in the winter) and Dr. Juice are delicious. Their pale ale (Envie) and wheat beer (Canebrake) are both really good as well.
Thank you for the suggestions...I’ll keep my eyes open.

This is another that I’ve been keeping in the fridge lately...along with the regular version of “Basement.” The strange thing is that, here in Fairhope it costs about $10 for a six pack of 12oz cans ...but $15 for a 12pack of 16oz cans🤔
$18.00, but, yes, it is usually about $11 for 6-pack/12oz around here, so I was surprised. Two weeks later, same deal. Pretty amazing.

They’ve got the best selection that I’ve found anywhere around Fairhope and Daphne too.
I go Crappie fishing every spring & fall with a good friend who lives in Helena. When I’m up there I visit a place in Pelham/Hoover called The Beer Hog. They’ve got a great selection too...but the only other Parrish offering that I’ve found there is Bloom, which is a pretty good one too.
Believe it or not, Piggly Wiggly is a good bet in the B'ham area. They have a surprising amount of craft, and lots of Parish.

I'm normally a wine or brown liquor guy, but if you see me with a beer in hand it will most likely be a Dogfish Head 90 minute.

Do any of y'all like the Sam Adams "Octoberfest" beer that comes out seasonally? It is very popular around these parts come the fall. I tried it and it's not "bad" but I didn't understand where all the hype was coming from. Again, it's probably just my taste buds. I'm not tasting what they are type thing.
I do. I enjoy most of the Sam Adams beers. I suppose that means we have rather " unsophisticated " tastes in beers? Having said that I do enjoy getting a mixed six pack of different craft beers and trying different ones. Anybody ever heard of Jax beer? My daddy used to drink that stuff.

About to try my first porter tonight. When I first started trying different beers I went a long time of just trying different kinds of IPAs. Then I moved on to red ales (which I like better than IPAs) and recently tried a saison (also liked better than an IPA.) The place I bought this s porter from has it ice cold so I will wait for it to warmup a bit before consumption. I mainly drank IPAs so much because they seem to be the easiest craft beer to find in Montgomery. Really they are everywhere. Does anyone know a good place in Montgomery to try other craft beers?

not very familiar with the montgomery area. we went to a neat little place there last summer visiting one of my wife's friends. can't remember where it was. i think on the e/s.e side of town, but don't really remember.

my buddy's brewery, arches, started distributing in alabama last year and i think montgomery was one of the markets, so look out for their stuff in the store

good red such as Meiomi

Dude that's non vintage grape juice with so much residual sugar it doesn't even taste like what Pinot Noir is supposed to taste like. Google mega purple for fun reading.

Call me a snob, but for me to drink it there has to be #1 a year listed on the bottle and #2 an AVA listed.
