Week 4: Ole Miss vs Alabama

I'm not sure that Bulletin Board material would matter much to this team, but perhaps someone should put this up there (from MSN):
Jumbo Package: QB woes, players only meetings, Kiffin calling his shot. Does Alabama even have a chance on Saturday?

I just don't see us winning this game unless we bludgeon them, which isn't out of the realm of possibility, but we haven't done that to a good team in a while. If it's a tight game, I just haven't seen anything from us that gives me a good feeling. I think this game either shuts-up some critics, or is the nail in the coffin for this season.

This game very much has a similar feel to the 2015 UGA game. We came off a loss to a really good Ole Miss team and the feeling was that we just weren't a national title team. The difference is we don't have a Derrick Henry.

I predict we are 5-3 in SEC play and end the streak of 10+ win seasons. I see us losing to @A&M, LSU and @Auburn. I had faith in previous seasons that the coaches would work their magic but I'm now certain Saban missed on hiring in the offseason and this is what we are this year. Whether Saban goes to the lake or corrects and gets 1-2 more championships, who knows.

That's fair. I think we put it back together. We have good pieces and a decent head coach. Everyone wants to point to how tired he looks but I just don't buy it. He'd retire before he put a crappy product on the field. Coaches are overrated anyway other than getting them to execute fundamentally. If we get back to that we will be just fine. But no coke bottle crystal balls here so we could definitely drop a couple more games. Until I see it, however, I think Coach gets us back on track.

I don't see Ole Miss as all that great.

They are certainly "beatable" if their opponent is halfway decent. Which Bama certainly is - by far.

I know the season hasn't started off as many would have liked it to, but that's to be expected considering the QB position to be the most important and coming out of Fall Camp it wasn't an absolute who should/would be your starter. That's not the norm, and as such, you've suffered a few repercussions.

Nothing that can't get resolved.

You have the best head coach in college football history.

Now is the time to get behind the man. And the team.

Relax and have faith.

Everything is going to be fine.....

Rewatching the game I noticed James Smith #47 got a lot of snaps at DT and created a lot of pressure when he was in there. I’d expect to see more of him in this game just based off his pass rush alone.

It took me a long time before I got to the same place about Bama football. I just can't expend as much emotional energy as I used to because I have some many other things that actually matter in my life.

If we win, great...if we lose, so be it.
Bingo! I am same age as Coach Saban....I just focus on baseball or one of my unread books that I stay stocked up on

We have looked like Bama, circa 1998 these last two weeks. If we get the win, it will be a lot like last year's game against Ole Miss. Something like 30-24, although I don't think we get to 30. Kiffin has certainly been waiting on this one. However, that don't mean squat. He has wet the britches a few times in big games since he's been in Oxford. He isn't a very good gameday coach.
