Basketball recruiting and transfer portal discussion

Asa Newell is at the top of my wish list.

Have no idea which way he is leaning, but I know his brother is a walk on at UGA.

Get the impression Asa is a quality kid. Would like to see him in Crimson :)

Anybody else got a wish list going?
 
Key statements; what CNO is selling and the recruits are buying:

“They see me playing position-less basketball and being a big piece for them right away,” he said. “They see me being a NBA prospect.” Sherrell went on to detail how he sees himself blossoming as part of the program.

"I see myself thriving in that offense," he said. "I will be playing on the perimeter, inside and just about everywhere on the court. They’ve also had guys similar to my height and play style do well in the past. ... I play similar to the offense they have right now. I play fast, I shoot the three ball very well and have offensive versatility. Defensively I can guard multiple positions and that will go great with their defense."

I see we made Reid's top three. Amazing how the 5*'s are so interested in Bama. What a haul this year could possibly bring.

I need Duke, UNC, and any other blueblood that has been marginal of late, especially with a replacement coach, to have a just good enough season for the next 2-3 years that no one gets fired. I want CNO to get to a Final 4 in that time and have progress on a new gym. I want there to be enough "stuff" built up around this program in that time so that when that call comes, he will confidently reply, "I'm good right here."

Exactly. Kansas and Kentucky will both come running for Oats when Self retires or Cal get fired. They need to make Bama into a place he can't/doesn't want to ever leave.
