Seriously? In my opinion, that shouldn't have been a penalty. Turner was in the process of the tackle when Daniel's threw it. It was a good, hard, clean tackle. It's crap calls like that in today's game that make it hard for me to watch modern football. Turner and Bama were penalized because Turner is a fast, strong man who tackled a smaller dude like a rag doll. These guys can't pause like a replay and suddenly stop themselves in mid-tackle. This call was crap in the game of football. Of course, this is merely my opinion. Roll Tide.

The defenders are supposed to somehow break their fall so they don't land completely on the quarterback. I've seen some players try to do this by sticking their arms and legs out to try to get some contact with the ground. It is not easy to do and I've seen it still get called as roughing. It also seems like it would be awkward for the defender and put him at risk of injury.

They don't seem to care about injuries to defensive players. It should never be a penalty when a defensive player makes a perfect tackle but gets penalized by last second movement by the offensive player, but it does. Frankly, it's a load of crap that makes modern football tough to watch. That was simply a great play by Turner.

What a picture! Yeah it was a tough game always is. LSU was pushing it to the edge also. I thought Bama did an excellent job not retaliating to several after the play activities. If the 'Who' had of hurt Milroe ( I did see him get up more than once shaking his head ) it would of been all is fair in love and war. Just glad we came out on top.

What should he have done differently? Concussions happen in this very violent game. The hit was hard and aggressive, it was not a dirty play. It deserved a penalty, maybe even targeting but it was not dirty.

• Launch — a player leaving his feet to attack an opponent by an upward and forward thrust of the body to make forcible contact in the head or neck area- NO - TURNER RAN THROUGH DANiELS
• A crouch followed by an upward and forward thrust to attack with forcible contact at the head or neck area, even though one or both feet are still on the ground. NO - Turner’s went “face mask to chest”.
• Leading with helmet, shoulder, forearm, fist, hand or elbow to attack with forcible contact at the head or neck area. NO - not even close.
• Lowering the head before attacking by initiating forcible contact with the crown of the helmet. Absolutely Not.

They will call that roughing the passer every time (these days). Was is a hard hit? Well…yeah. Was it dirty? No way. Wanna see dirty? Watch some of the crap hits Bryce took last year.

I would suggest that Turner has been more impactful this year than Anderson last year??

He has, but Anderson only had Pete. You can see what a few months of a defensive coordinator's impact has had on our toughness and scheme. We went from having anxiety having to play a dynamic offense ( 2022 Tenn) to mentally tough and fighting it out in a few short months.

Games matter and head to head matter (if deemed equal at the time of comparison) but the committee is supposed to judge based on who the best team is at that time.

We could move ahead of them OR they could lose, but I think beating an undefeated 2 time champ is the best win anybody can get in the upcoming weeks.

The hit on the QB was just a football play.

I know there are rules to protect players, but I hate all the sissy stuff it causes.

A few years ago that play doesn't even lead sports center because a safety taking off a WR head would!

If we are 12-1 SEC Champs I don't think it will matter too much who we beat from the East.

I'm tired of UGA skating by every week.

I'm kind of hoping they lose the next 2 games vs Ole Miss and Tenn.

Considering the context of this season and how we've been steadily improving, I believe beating Georgia removes all doubt AND it would be so nice to avenge that loss a couple of years ago!!!

Another good thing about UGA winning out until the SEC championship game is the pundits would talk them up so much. We'd be the underdog and that's a role we do well in.

That horse collar by Burns on Milroe had the same intention. If they had the shot, they would do it also.

To be fair, we kinda got away with a horse collar on Daniels earlier in the game (since somehow "something that happened last year" has supposed relevance to tonight).

It has always been standard football practice to "take out" the best player on the other team - but doing so legally and within the confines of the rules, not hitting late, not 11-man gang tackling while another player scores, etc.

But I agree that a lot of us are just plain sick of the two-facedness of fans and officials. Tennessee was - and it was obvious - trying to decapitate Bryce last year, fine, but NOT GETTING CALLED FOR IT was really insane, too.
