There has to be one in every crowd, and I'm it for today. I'll miss Gary. I spent too much of the day listening to ESPN and Fox color guys and announcers who used odd voice inflections to stand out from other announcers and make a name for themselves. Give me Gary any time.

I liked him. His analysis was usually accurate even when he was sharply critical. If he said, "your team blew it on that play," you only hated it because it was your team that blew it.

Right. But the CBS crew overdid it today.

I don't think they were rooting for Auburn to win as much as they were just rooting for a competitive game; which is what the network wants.

But, it's really hard to listen to it!

Like a lot of the “Talking Heads,” he feels that he has to say something even if he has nothing to productively add. I can’t tell you how many times I told my TV, “Shut up Gary!”

Is it just me, or is Gary Danielson one of the most annoying commentators in college football?

He has to question way too many plays….not just for Bama, but for both teams.

it’s like he’s got a plethora of conspiracy theories throughout the game, insight like no other. Not just Bama games, all games. Surprised he hasn’t seen the real Big Foot out on the field yet!

You’ll find someone on the other channel to dislike. He doesn’t bother me because it’s all a role they play on every broadcast.
