Bama Game Thread: Official Postgame Thread - Bama vs. Michigan...

The difference in the game was Michigan’s DL vs. our OL. There were other contributing factors. That was the decisive one.

It hurts, but UM deserves the win. Hats off to them.

For those saying Saban’s time is in the past and we need to move on: Be careful what you wish for.

If not Saban, then who? A specific name who will realistically come. Not, “Somebody younger,” and definitely not, “Anybody.”

Name me a specific coach who represents an upgrade from Nick Saban.

I can’t believe I had to type that last sentence.

This is exactly how I feel. I had way more fun during the crazy Covid season than this year. College football has changed too much, and it will no longer be the same. There will be multiple 3-loss teams in the playoffs from now on, and it’s just not right. This might be the beginning of the end for me.
The crazy COVID year was more fun because we stomped everyone and were never in any real danger of losing. And that is saying a lot considering who our D coordinator was.

My greatest concern - that Milroe thinks that he has arrived. He will be the starter next year. And if he doesn't work his rear off to improve in the off season, it will cost Alabama another season.

He will be listed as a Heisman favorite to start the season, and Alabama will be highly ranked. That spells disaster unless he and the team see just how poorly they played this year.
You said it more eloquently than I could. This was our worst QB situation since 2006, and I’m doubtful if he can improve enough. With nearly 15 starts you should be able to hit the 5-8 yard pass. On the two long balls, the receivers were open 10-15 yards earlier, but he can’t anticipate them being open.

it’s just not a skill he has. And now, if we have a QB competition, the way this season played out, do you lose the team?

We are in a bad spot.

Some of you all are too negative for me. Milroe isn't perfect but if we have a center who can snap the ball we probably win that game before OT
Or defense that can get a stop. Up by 7 with 4:00 minutes left. Defense lets them march right down the field with ease. Bad snaps had nothing to do with that.
