Bama Game Thread: Official Postgame Thread - Bama vs. Michigan...

This game was decided on the LOS and we got dominated when it mattered most.

The offense shot itself in the foot too often during the stretch of time of the last drive of the 2nd quarter until the end. Thus despite the defenses efforts during that same stretch, with it just being a one score game when Michigan got the ball back with 4 minutes to go, the defense collapsed.

The single point in time where the game was lost was settling for the 52 yard FG. Great kick yes, but we needed a two score lead at that point.

I won’t tip my hat to Michigan, because their program is dirty. But I do respect what talent they’ve assembled, especially their veterans.

We need everyone to come back and build a championship team again. But I figure we will lose most of our eligible juniors to the NFL.
Definitely agree about settling for the field goal (or more accurately, having to settle for it). I don’t remember for sure, but I think we had a false start or something else to stop ourselves in that drive.

Most sacks given up since 1996. I think we all remember Freddie Kitchens got killed every game.

Not all were on the OL, sure, but this OL seriously underachieved tonight.

Is there a stat that shows which ones were on Milroe and which ones were the OL or a RB missing a block? I'm sure not going back and watching hours of sack video for the answer.

We dodged alot of bullets through the season and were always hoping that the Texas game wouldn’t be repeated. But it did against Michigan.

Difference in the game was they dominated our lines and McCarthy played exceptionally well and Milroe was up and down. Yeah our offensive gameplan was bad but there were too many times where we just didn’t play like a championship team enough in the game.

We should be happy with what we accomplished but this one hurts.
16/23 for 120 yards is not up and down. And a turnover.

Dare I say pedestrian numbers?

Real talk. Do we want Jalen as the guy next year? Can he improve? I love 22 and 36...RB future is bright. I just don't know what I think of the Jalen era. Kid is so inconsistent with plays and in some cases...effort. That run in the first half hurt bad. Was he in pain? He kind of slowed down on a few runs. Oline needs an upgrade too.
3 olinemen need to lose about 30 lbs. When you take five sacks in the first half you become gun shy. You hear footsteps all night. This lose is squarely on the oline.

I couldn’t say. But I can’t count how many replays I watched tonight and our OL was just flat footed or they just got shoved out of the way. On the last play, 65 got knocked flat on his butt.

Bill O’brien couldn’t have called a worse play..

If l was asked to name the one guy who could make a dumber play call than throwing into the end zone with Lynch in my backfield at the one, I'm going with BoB six days a week and twice on Sunday.

Give CTR a break! We had fundamental flaws at center and QB all year long. I give JM credit for growth, but he's still so raw as a pocket passer and he just has terrible field vision/awareness.

What is CTR supposed to do other than what he did? UM knew what we were going to do because that's basically all JM can do. Throw in center issues AGAIN and it is a recipe for disaster.

When you have to make chicken salad out of you know what all year long you are not going to look good as an offensive play caller.
