Watching a pathetic Washington run defense against an average um run game by SEC standards made me even more mad at the performance we put out in the CFP. We would of beat UW by 4 TD;s had we of not just fell off the I have a brain wagon......
I will never forget this CFP loss and it goes down as one of the worst performances since the Clemson beat down several years ago. UGA would of wiped the floor with Michigan and I am upset we let the entire SEC down.

For those defending our center saying if we had a 6th year senior back there sorry but you live in a dream world. I could get my 8 year old football team center out there and I can promise you he would have less bad snaps than we had in one game. Fact is a bad snap to a freshamn is a bad snap to an NFL QB no matter how you slice it. What makes me even more upset is the issue was all 2 years long and it was never corrected by replacement.

Josh Pate said of the 4 highest ranked recruiting classes of all time (all colleges, all years), three of them on on campus in Tuscaloosa. I do not know if he was exaggerating for effect, but this was a team that was very talented on paper.
Unfortunately, games are not played on paper. When Bama played Michigan, Michigan manned up and won.

That said, Bama did rip the Barn's heart out at the Barn, did snap UGA's win streak, and did win an SEC championship. Could have been better. Could have been worse.

Tip your hat to Michigan and get back in the weight room.

14 games into the season if you’re still consistently shooting yourself in the foot and making bonehead plays….thats just who you are as a team. 23 Bama had a bunch of talent and good to great coaching for the most part but they were just a mistake heavy team that was their own worst enemy. It happens. We’ll get em next year

This. We`re a big dog. We run with other big dogs. When you run with other big dogs, sometimes you do the biting. Sometimes you get bit. We got bit.

We didn’t give away an NC. Michigan straight out executed us when it mattered and frankly we played at the level we played for 2/3rds of the season. Ie, to form. UGA was an outlier for I think obvious reasons.

But we certainly squandered a great opportunity to win another NC by the mistakes we made.

We were a Dontae Lawson finger away from getting an interception on Michigans last drive away from beating Michigan and probably winning a National Title. I think there were 3 teams head and shoulders better than the rest at the end of the year. Georgia, Michigan, Alabama. Any one of them could have won the tittle and in a one game playoff type one or two plays make the difference who wins. In Georgia game we got the turnover and big catch and in the Michigan game they got the fumble recovery and catch. If Georgia played Michigan they might got the big play or two and beat them.

Yes, we gave it away and it started all the way back in the summer when apparently our staff realized and couldn't fix how severely underdeveloped our QB's were. Then add to that the hot mess of an offensive line that though got better during the year never couldn't get over the hump of shooting themselves in the foot at crucial parts of games. But I blame coaching as much as I do the players.

National titles are hard to win so when you have the talent to win one, you better do it. Considering the talent on the team, the players and coaches definitely just flushed one down the toilet this year. But coaching and development matter, and the coaches need to do a better job at developing the talent rather than seemingly trying to out talent teams during games. Michigan is a great example as to why coaching and development matter.

IDK why everyone thinks UGA would have killed Michigan. I’ve been reading that all day, but I don’t agree. I think Mich’s D line would have shut down their running game just like we did (78 yards, remember?) and their back end is just as good, if not better, than ours.

We didn’t get lucky against UGA. We pushed them around on both sides of the ball, and I’m sorry to say it, but MIch is more physical than we are. If our DBs catch a couple of the 4 balls Beck put right in their hands, we blow them out. I think UGA beating FSU has skewing the perception of what they really were this year.

I admittedly underestimated Michigan.

They‘re the best team in the country.

Championship teams are built Jan thru August. We had a QB controversy until game 4, new OC, and breaking in a true FR LT against a playoff team week 2. It’s a miracle we won an SEC title against a two time defending NC. I’m pretty satisfied of the accomplishments this season. We just need to get our QB problem fixed for 24’ and find a DC.

The ball bounces a few more inches on that muffed punt, Alabama wins. The tipped ball goes a few inches higher, it's an interception, Alabama wins. So on so forth.

I think Alabama matched up great against Washington, but Alabama lost and it is what it is.

Having said all of that, this is a team that very nearly lost to Auburn and took a miracle to pull things out. Things looked grim coming into the Ole Miss game after a couple lackluster performance and LSU and Tennessee were looming. Heck, things looked grim in the first half of all of those games.

Alabama won the SEC, they beat Georgia, they ripped Auburn's heart out at the last minute. They made FSU fans cry when they made it into the playoff, and they were arguably the second best team in the playoff, they just came up a little short, in part because the center had the yips.

Who knows what the future holds, but objectively it was a great year.

A lot of the negative things this year were the result of coaching failures the last several years. Poor coaching hires has cost us a couple of NCs. That is just my humble opinion.
