Who is Saban's replacement?

I mean, Idk how to feel about Kiffin honestly. I think he could win here, but I also know he has baggage.. HEAVY baggage.
As another poster said, he could be trolling and no one taking him seriously..but actually be the guy. Idk and won't speculate because I feel their may be a handful of people that ACTUALLY know the situation.
I think the media knows as much as we do at this point when it comes to Saban successor. They just want views/clicks.

…but yet we tried to bring Pruitt back, and hire Freeze…

Oh, and kept an under-performing DC on board after a DUI.

We pick and choose when we want to play the “take the high road” game.

Kiffin is the best available. Period.
What are you, his agent? Yeesh. Tone it down some.

No, but it’s very frustrating hearing all these hypocritical excuses about why we can’t hire Kiffin. When we literally have had no problems going after, and employing guys with a much more checkered past.

Are we looking for the best available football coach? That can recruit, in the toughest conference in football?

or are we looking for a preacher?

If Kiffin gets hired, they may want to rethink Saban having an office in the stadium and give him an office down the hall instead...

No, he'll just sit at a smaller desk next to Saban with a Fisher Price phone and laptop. And Saban can be like "very good Laney, you made a funny on the Twitter."

In all seriousness though, and I said this earlier, Kiffin in my opinion is the only hire that makes sense if Saban is still around. Otherwise, I just don't see how it works with whomever the new guy is.

Would the preacher bless us with another run like we have had the past 17 years?

Much of his “checkered” past isn’t as simple as getting drunk and picking up college chicks. Much of it is far worse than you think.

I hear you, and I wish we'd suck it up and hire him too, but it's also easy for me to say that when I'm not the one who has to clean up the mess, if there is any.. Unfortunately, if he ticked off the wrong people, then that's gonna be the nail in the coffin.

That said, Kiffin is not the ONLY guy that can win here. We are a top tier job. Any of the A list candidates that have been will do just fine. Will it be up to our standards? That remains to be seen, but I am fairly certain none of those guys are gonna run it into the ground, either. The only pure slam dunk hire out there in existence right now is probably Kirby Smart. Literally any of the other guys out there have a possibility of failure. But that doesn't mean none of them can't win Championships. We just have to pick the right one. And Greg Byrne is very good at this.

I just don’t understand the sudden hatred of Dabo. He’s the only coach on the list that has won a NC. He knows what he would be getting into—and that is big. There have been coaches come to Bama in the past that just didn’t get the culture. Say what you want about Franchione, but he was a decent coach at Alabama. But I remember one reporter stating that he just didn’t get the 365 day a year football culture.
