Still hoping we might get Washington’s Muhammad.
UMMM, I really don't have that kind of money. If you’re powerful enough to literally purchase a player for your school, it is out of the realm of possibility you can purchase the “performance” of one as well.
I’m powerful booster Daddy Warbucks of Whatsamatta U. Buying players left and right. But in the process I’ve met numerous players from rival program. And Whatsamatta is playing the biggest rival- NE Directional. Daddy Warbucks really hates NE and wants a win desperately. And also wants to make a few bucks on the side as well. And because of his prior relationship with a few NE players via the collective….well you get my drift.
Absurd? Probably but not out of the realm of possibility.
You don’t have to look any further than Jamyr Gibbs to realize what a dolt BOB was. I was wondering why he looks better running against NFL defenses than he did for us last year. I’m guessing it’s because his skills were squandered. He has two great neutralizers in BoB and Seth.
for years and years boosters have been the cause of programs getting into trouble with the NCAA.If managed by the schools it ends up being subject to Title IX. As long as it’s a booster run program it does not.
Brees is 5'-10"He is closer to 5"11. There's a picture with Drew Brees who's almost 6 feet and Saying was about the same height
I’m confident unless things change, we don’t have to worry about rules violations concerning NIL….Thing is I am not convinced the schools want this. I think they are happier with the boosters footing the bill and maintaining plausible deniability. That will continue until someone gets slapped with the LOIC for allowing the collective to run roughshod over the rules. Hopefully that day will come & we have maintained the high road so it’s not us that gets stung.
And they've been the scapegoats, in some cases.for years and years boosters have been the cause of programs getting into trouble with the NCAA.
Expect Noah Carter to be next
In the day, big boys did things like that.My grandad likes to tell this story about when he saw John Hannah and some other players try and park a VW beetle on the strip in a tight parallel spot, and Hannah picked up the front end and just slid the car into place.
Now they would have to consult with mommy and daddy and whoever their agent before doing anything resembling that.In the day, big boys did things like that.
BTW: Big John was super strong...
Yeah, he played for the Saints down here for many years. 5',10" is about right. Anything saying he is taller is just program inflation.Brees is 5'-10"
Of all the players Bama's lost in the transfer portal, Caleb Downs is the only one I would gladly take back.Personally…..I’d vote a big fat NO!!!
Saw Big John in the grocery store yesterday...looks like he could still start and dominate today...In the day, big boys did things like that.
BTW: Big John was super strong...
