Josh Jacobs, Barry Sanders come to mind...Rashad Johnson had one offer. It was West Alabama. Y’all remember the rest.

"Amassed 64 tackles, three sacks, three forced fumbles, and one interception." Evidently, a ball hawk.We apparently sent an offer to Khalil Jacobs who was in the portal with South Alabama. He wasn’t a big recruit but must be someone the new DC likes with his time there coaching him.
karma?

Are they really backups or are you just being dramatic? Starting rosters all over the Power Five are dotted with kids who grew late, in college, and really developed themselves...I think what you're trying to say without actually saying it.....this guy is a major talent downgrade.
We certainly don't need to be taking guys from South Alabama. There's a reason they went to South. We've got to restock the defense, it doesn't need to be with Sun Belt backups. That will get us manhandled.

Jaylen Key came from UAB last year and nothing really stuck out about him either while he was there. Trey Amos came from Louisiana a sun belt team as well. So 2 of our secondary guys that saw decent amount of action last year were transfers from small schools. So this wouldn’t be anything we haven’t done before but since it not a Saban move will get put more under microscope by some.
Also, Key got exposed a good bit when he was on the field for us. Just sayin. Not true on Key. He was an all-conference selection after a breakout season his last year at UAB. If this LB had that kind of year last season at USA, I wouldn't be scratching my head about it; it would be a shot worth taking.
Amos was at least a starter his last season before transfering, and played a ton the year before. This guy is a year behind that curve, not having really been a starter this season...
Can't get the boot from Twitter for just looking.Trick is to only get the info. I NEVER comment/discuss anything on Twitter!
I guess we will see. He didn't have any problems De-committing, it's just as easy to re-commit.
I spent years telling my men that life isn't fare, that if life was fare,What appears to be happening is CKD is implementing the same blue print he did when hired at UW and that is bring in people who already know his system in order to keep from having the first year "down year" where it takes everybody a full season to learn his system. Granted, it may suck for the guys already at Bama who are forced to start from scratch, but this game is about winning, not being "fair".
As my wife tells her 3rd grade students when they tell her "that's not fair!".....The "fair" comes in October.
Back in the dark ages I went from 5'7" to 6'3" in 4 years. The next time I see one of these “late growth spurts†in college will be the first time.
Well, since you put it that way. I'm OK with him.Khalil Jacobs 64 tackles, 3 sacks, 3 forced fumbles, 1 interception, 3 starts
Deontae Lawson 67 tackles, 3 sacks, 0 forced fumbles, 0 interception, 11 starts
Jihad Campbell 66 tackles, .5 sacks, 0 forced fumbles, 1 interception, 8 starts
It's a shame that Greg Byrne didn't hire you. What we certainly don't need to be doing is insulting the coaches and the guys who choose to play here. This kid may turn out to be a solid player, or he may be a coach on the field type of guy who is a great leader. Either way, it's the decision of the coaches.I think what you're trying to say without actually saying it.....this guy is a major talent downgrade.
