The offense DeBoer is bringing in should have his interest peaked. Texas lost to Deboer's teams in back to back bowl seasons which is not lost on anyone.

Unfortunately, people say one thing at a certain time then as time goes by something changes and they go in a different direction. I hope this kid does sign with us because it would add talent depth to our WR room no doubt.
And it’s common knowledge they are tight - long before their HS championship game. RW has felt “at home†at Bama since he first committed.
I’d bet large Bama did all they could this weekend to make him realize why he originally committed. Two of the three reasons are gone (well, the bigger one is still around and that does not hurt), but the remaining reason is huge and for many recruits, it’s the one it often comes down to.
RTR RW - can’t wait to see you on the field at B-D.
I mean you can dwell on some positives or negatives there, but for me:
1. He's got a Bama shirt on!
2. He kinda lit up about CKD and Grubb.
3. He "hints" he may already know. Reading between the lines they may eliminate Texas since he hasn't visited there yet.
I know Sark will make a strong push, but I think Bama is the leader in the club house, so to speak.
I like your optimism. I hope he comes to Bama. He will be an immediate impact player.
He said he wears a different school shirt almost every day. Texas is going to be tempting and their money is hard to beat.
that's why I said in another thread about his supposed" lock" from Mbakwe , we shall see.
I was hoping he would call it a day after his meeting with Deboer and Grubb this past weekend, but as it stands, we are nowhere near where we started from. no matter how much his best friend posts about him coming to Tuscaloosa or whoever is the new Bama coach, Williams continues to be steadfast on all his OV.
Also, after Texas, auburn is on the clock and that visit may reveal what most of us may have already known. at the end of the day, the only true development in his whole recruitment is that he de committed from Alabama! that is all.

Now he just needs to cancel the Auburn visit. lol. No telling what Freeze will do or say or how much more $$ he will offer. I do think Ryan picks Bama though, especially if he canceled his Texas visit.

Until he cancels the barn visit, don't get too excited. Just remember, auburn is just a drive away. I know I sound pessimistic on Williams, but I won't be fool until he signs with Bama.
I doubt he signs with the Barn. There is alot working against it happening. If Freeze somehow lands him then it would be the biggest shock in a long time for me in terms of recruiting.
I think Texas was the biggest obstacle for us.
DeBoer, lots of yards for WR's.
Freeze with no QB.....lack of yards for WR's.
That's really the question a kid needs to ask himself...do you want to be the king of the state and rack up huge yards.....or go have lots of nothing thrown your way at the Barn.
I suspect that he won’t spend three years at whatever school he signs with. Just too much cash and light being thrown at a still 16year old. If he is able to keep his head straight, he’ll be a special person.
