The OC position at Ohio St didn't last long. Billy O now or expected to be the HC at Boston College

I have a friend who is a big OSU fan. He is relieved that BOB got another job. I told him they dodged a big bullet.

Chip Kelley leaving ucla for the Ohio state OC position......weird. he must have really hated LA

I think he has always hated recruiting and, probably can't stand the roster management aspect of being a HC. Unfortunately, this means the Seattle OC job is still open and their top pick is no longer available, so I guess Grubb is potentially still in play there.

The guy who had a linebacker cover devonta Smith in the title game.
That's Sark, not Day.

C'mon man, you know more than that - setting up mismatches is what Sark excels at.

If you really think Day is a chump then I guess we'll agree to disagree. His record speaks for itself. He didn't earn those wins at North Cupcake State.

I dont think he's a chump. Just has that Lincoln Riley choke factor. Im sure he will get past it one day but until then

Does he even have the same DC as he did that season? Like ca said, that was Sark dialing up the mismatch. Which 2020 opponent of ours DIDN'T have those busts? Notre Dame, maybe?

He's corrected the "unexplainable loss" syndrome they had when Urban was there. He's only lost in his biggest games. That's not "choking," because he's also won his share of big games, too. Expecting guys to win every game fans have "circled" is evidence of what national fans criticize Bama fans for, it's irrational and unreasonable. The list is small (extremely small) of first-time HCs who would've had the same level of success thus far

Ohio State is making a statement this offseason.
They are definitely staying in the news cycle. I donno, if there is a statement it would be "we're buying the best guys we can find to win a championship." Bold, yes, but they have a long way to go in proving it as a successful strategy. They turned over more than half of their roster from last year and now have to deal with another big personality coordinating the offense. The roster additions are certainly an upgrade if they can be made to play team football but bringing Kelly in is a head scratcher to me.

Man I’ve seen some delusional fan bases but Ohio st fans are actually convinced if bob leaves they’ll get chip kellly as oc. Some pretty spectacular wackadooing goin on over there
I guess they are not too delusional since it happened. I wonder if this was done on Kelly’s part thinking I either win the championship next year as OC and better head coaching job opens up or if we lose Ryan O’Day gets fired and I might have the inside track to get the head coaching job at Ohio State and have all the talent and money available that I don’t have at UCLA.
