But the rankings aren't intended to be a predictor of who is going to make the final four, so you extend that to include the "contenders", and every year before the tournament we always see some ESPN article saying only x amount of teams have a shot to win it all, and it's usually around 10-12, so I'm saying top 12. That lines up pretty well with our current elite 8, except for Clemson (19), and NC State (49).

The metrics don't have them as a top 4 team, but top 4 and final four are two different things. If the metrics have us at 12, it means they think we have a pretty decent shot at the final four. So for ESPN to say that about us, but not NC State is just asinine. It's clear Bama hate from them
