People aren’t dying in the streets down here. What do you think is happening? I know several people that have have Covid recently. They take Paxlovid and move on. I’m sure some people still die just like they do from other viruses but there are solid treatments now. You are acting like it’s mad max beyond thunderdome in Florida and that’s just not true. You just hate the governor and the states politics in general so you want to bash anything you can come up with.

You don't understand that vaccines save lives, at least I hope that's where you are coming from. The alternatives are cold callousness or full support of government policies that cost lives. I took the vaccine myself so I do understand. I read the article and there is another non MRNA vaccine people can take and there are other solid treatments like paxlovid. They don't like the MRNA vaccine, so what? There are other alternatives that are approved by the FDA take those if you want or take the MRNA. Make up your own mind. You are just creating boogeymen that don't exist because there are other treatments now besides Pfizer and Moderna.

They advised them to take something else not die in the street. The fact you can't understand that is telling as to your desire to vilify people you disagree with politically. I'm done now. We are living in those separate realities again.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I miss living in Florida (except for the weather.) To state the obvious, I haven’t lived in all 50 states, but Florida is easily the best state I’ve lived in.

But, Im glad you acknowledge its a great state with all its diversity.

I had never been around Cuban culture before moving to Florida. I have to say that has been a good experience. I enjoy everything from the food to the family life. I have been able to make close friendships and be welcomed into a couple of Cuban extended families and they are awesome.

You'll find that kind of hospitality among Mexicans, too. Not only are they fun to be around, they are remarkably chill. Good people, strong religious beliefs and an amazing culture. I certainly like them more than I do most everybody else around here.

Ran into two Alabamans today.

One at Home Depot in front of me at checkout. Guy applied for the HD credit card so checkout took another 10 minutes...at least. He was buying a box of LVP and I asked if he was doing some flooring. He said he just bought a house and was doing some renovations. I asked where he bought and then he started a story about being from Alabama and this house was for his son-in-law - so after that we just talked football.

The other person was the manager at a local Cube Smart, where I went today to rent a new storage unit. Born near Birmingham but grew up in Memphis. We talked about football too. She said the subject of her theme paper in school was Coach Bryant.

I always disclose I'm a Gator, but we don't talk about them so much...lol......

I did mention to both the big game this weekend. Gave my humble opinion that Georgia will get pounded.....

The way the current investigation into the first assassination attempt has been going according to Democratic senators I think another set of eyes on the situation sounds like a good idea on your dime and mine. Might get a clearer outcome. You should appreciate your excellent governor more.
