SANTA CLARA -- It hasn't been two full months since Ricky Pearsall got shot in the chest and already he's ready to play.

The 49ers will activate Pearsall for Sunday's game against the Chiefs. Kyle Shanahan confirmed this on Friday.

Good morning, and ROLL TIDE!

I won’t get to watch today. Our grandson plays travel ball and his team is playing at Rickwood Field. Most of their games are too far for us to go to, so whenever he has a tournament within an hour or two, we try to go. The first game is at 11:30, and the second is at 2:15. I’m hoping for a mercy rule game (with the grandson’s team winning, of course.) LOL I know I won’t be the only one checking my phone.

It’s crazy how much CFB fans love him being added.

I frequent r/CFB a good bit and fans of every team across the country have become fans of CNS.

It’s just wild because they HATED him when he was our HC.

We’ve known this version of him for almost two decades but they hated him so much they couldn’t see it.

But I’m just glad he’s finally being appreciated.

I looked at the slomo and I was wrong. Cody does get his left arm on the ball. I think I got fooled by Cody's lack of vertical. The kick was so low, I remember thinking Julio had gained so much vertical, he might well have blocked it. Look at 3:36 on this Youtube clip and you can see Cody's arm on the ball in slow motion...
