Questions about Milroe.

This actually poses a good question and I don't know if it's been addressed previously. From BoB to now, over the last 2-3 years, just how much coaching have the other qb's gotten. If just one guy is deemed the starter and gets all the reps and all the attention while the others just go thru mindless routines, have they been developed into actual replacements? Given my faith in this staff's ability to make adjustments, I am beginning to wonder.
I‘m starting to agree with you but at the same time Milroe did develop quite a bit before he regressed back into old habits/play over the last three games. Who knows. Maybe we will get to see Simpson and see what the actual situation is but like I said earlier I’m not holding my breath.

I like Milroe, as I think we all do, and want to see him be successful. But the performance Saturday was atrocious, for whatever reason. His accuracy has never been great, but receivers have often bailed him out to make his numbers appear better. He's not a QB that needs to be throwing it 45 times a game. He does not fit this system. I understand CKD giving him the opportunity as the returning starter, but it should be obvious by now. Tommy Rees adjusted the playcalling to suit Jalen's skillset, but Sheridan and CKD don't seem to be willing to do it. Square peg, round hole. It's time to insert a QB more suited for this system. Williams is a great player, but doesn't need to be seeing 20 targets in a game, especially with other receivers running wide open. I understand their frustration.
It seems they too bought into the lie.

If the WRs would be happy because TS might spread the ball around more, and if the RBs would be happy because they might get more touches without so many called QB runs, would there be a mutiny this year if TS is given a game to show what he can do?
point blank. JM founded/owns/runs LANK. LANK provides NIL to many players. Net, many players owe NIL to JM and that creates some conflict in team dynamics.

I think Ty is the better option in the short term and the long term but you don't just throw him to the wolves in Baton Rouge with no previous start... or at least no serious time vs a competent opponent with the game in question.

In the last 2 seasons he's had no real experience other than saving our butts vs USF last year... and no matter what people think HE DID come off the bench and guide us to that win under sub optimal conditions.

He needs to either get the start vs Mizzou or get 50/50 split reps or play the entire 2nd half or something before you start him vs LSU.

We might still lose to LSU but I'm of the opinion we'd win out after that with Ty to at worst finish 9-3 go to a respectiable bowl game and get off to a much better start for 2025.

But Ty is really talented and from what people have said who saw some of spring and fall practices he's looked absolutely spectacular running CKD's offense.

So... He might could beat LSU and get us to 10-2 and the playoffs.

I know that none of us will ever know though if the kid never gets one single fair shot at the job.
I believe we all can appreciate that Ty could not be expected to turn things around from cold off the bench. I admit to resenting the fact that he has not received playing time with Milroe's weaknesses being so obvious from the start.

I admit to being discouraged about it and it could color my thinking but it may be that the Sun is setting on Ty's career at Alabama and it has been incredibly mismanaged.

If I were a parent of a highly sought after QB I would look at this as something to be avoided.

He has two more years of eligibility after this season. Unless you are insinuating that he'll transfer. I don't see that as the case since he is the clear starter next year and has already stuck around this long.

I'm talking about under a form of rules, which we currently do not have in college football.
Oh, I know, but my question still applies. The Supreme Court basically said "amateur sports is illegal, go have fun". There are no rules because there literally CANNOT be any rules.

You may be right. I view it differently from an emotional standpoint. If Milroe returns - what then!

I still think Milroe is maybe hurt. He had been playing really well vs Wisconsin, UGA and Vandy. Completion % of 71, 82, & 75 in those 3 games while throwing for 300 yards in 2 of those games to go along with 6 passing TD and only 2 ints (one of which was quite fluky)

Then suddenly vs South Carolina and Tennessee he is under 70% in both games 4 total INTs and just outright looked bad. Some of that can be attributed to the defenses rushing the passer well but some of it cannot.

Idk. Maybe he just fell apart but his shoulder was clearly bothering him early in the South Carolina game after one of the hits he took.

I think you know the answer, no one, because no one can stop it. So until rules are put in place this type of stuff can take place within a team and it is disgusting.

Milroe may be hurt physically and mentally and the mental he brought with him.

My biggest fear is that if we don't give him a shot we'll see him somewhere else next year just tearing it up.

I'd be happy for him but ticked off that we mishandled it.

Holstein has been playing well for Pitt this year already and I won't be shocked if Sayin becomes a great QB for tOSU.

We have got to let Holstein go. What he is doing at Pitt wouldn't cut it here. He was horrible vs Cal for example. I think he'll grow into a good player but he wasn't ready to be the starting QB at Alabama.
