The Good, The Bad and The Ugly…. Tigger style:

Good: 5th win in a row v Auburn; won by double digits; Deboer gets his first Iron Bowl win; crowd seemed great from tv viewing; played well overall except for the turnovers. Texas won, Clemson and Miami lost; there is slight chance we make playoffs

Bad: refs; turnovers; fights

Ugly: too many turnovers has become a big issue most of our games; fights; Auburn's record; refs, refs, refs.....

the win today has zero bearing on the season is my point. The loss to Oklahoma was my final point.

I'll reitierate one more time for the idiots who don't quite get it.

Imagine, you have an 8-2 record. All you need is a win against a 5-5 team and a 5-6 team and you're in the playoffs. Yet ... heh jesus h christ, you dont prepare your team and you lose to one of these idiots. My God. How is it people are so stupid?

I get it. We'll give DeBoer more time but for me, I've seen enough.

ETA: To me, this is a fireable offense. In my line of work, this would be and tbh, this season we've had to do it.

I am just as disappointed as the next disappointed Bama fan. But you do realize if you were in charge and fired a new coach who just went 9-3 in his first year after taking over for the GOAT 🐐 coach in CFB , you would set the program back 10 years. Anyone who did that or would do that is an emotionally unstable person who I wouldn't put in charge of a lemonade stand.

What, pray tell, is your line of work that has such high expectations and strict rules within the first year of employment?

Good: The gameplan involving the RBs/TEs, taking pressure off Milroe's legs.
Bad: TOs from Milroe: That's easily 21 points on board, if he didn't fumble.
Ugly: The referees and the way they handled the sideline confrontations, the chirping between the players on both teams. It went too fair.

How there weren’t offsetting penalties on the sideline scrum is beyond me.

Few things to consider:
1. It's not cool to call people idiots. You are who you call other people.. Think about that.
2. DeBoer is in first season coaching a Alabama team with first year OC/DC. It was always going to be an adjustment year for the coaches/players. So many people had Bama at 3 losses... I had them at 2 losses.
3. You had high expectations that was unrealistic and you're saying you're done with the program?

I hate that we have fans like you that just are spoiled by the success of the football program and are having temper tantrums right now.

I think he was saying that Referees could've taken the time to look at the film and determined who started first and call offset and be done with it. that's what should've happened and it didn't.
I appreciate the help, but it turns out I didn't remember the play properly. In my head, both sides got penalties but Auburn got the first down because both got enforced. I had come up with this whole narrative because I missed the part where no Auburn player was penalized. How could Auburn not get one right there, right? I knew they got one, just knew it. Never questioned it. [Eta:] When they called out Malachi first, I started asking questions of the TV, missing the second call.

In conclusion, I'm an idiot who was not paying proper attention. Nothing to see, unless you like seeing me make a fool of myself. If so, let me link my YouTube channel 🤣

You're in the minority but I agree with you.

Our fanbase has very short memories.

Last week everyone wanted a QB change and a decent bowl to get started for 2025.

Bama beats a mediocre AU team at home and everyone is feverishly calculating how to see more of #4 vs a Top 5 team on the road.

What's changed from last week to now?

Nothing has changed.

Best: Defense only giving up 6 first half points even though the offense turned the ball over 3 times
Good: Run game, Germie Benard, Good Milroe
Bad: Dropped passes, turnovers, Bad Milroe
Ugly: Auburn players taunting and attitude

And three weeks ago people were imagining Deboer could win a title in his first year. After the Georgia win, fans thought we were the best team in the nation.

Fans are fickle and given to extreme hyperbole.

We are a talented team with some glaring issues. Give us two weeks and we can beat anyone (Georgia, LSU). Or we can crap the bed vs an inferior opponent (Vandy, Ok).

One thing alot of us fans seem to forget, is how unusual it was to almost never lose a game you should win easily.

Look at this year: #4 Notre Dame lost to NIU, Ohio State lost to 6-5 Michigan, #8 Tennesse lost to Arkansas.

We forget that Coach Saban's 100 plus win streak against unranked opponents is an enormous anomaly and not the norm.

Most US penalties are dead ball penalties, happening after the play is over and it's not unusual at all to see offsetting US penalties called...
